This course is designed for contractors, military, and government employees who enforce, or must comply with, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) safety and health requirements (EM 385-1-1, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety & Health Requirements Manual) and OSHA 29 CFR 1926. Fall Protection for the Competent Person

This 3-day course is designed for personnel who may be designated as the Competent Person by their employer for typical constructionrelated activities involving working at height. It is also recommended for any construction, maintenance, or supervisory personnel who use fall prevention and/or protection equipment and systems or who will be responsible for safety at their job sites where fall hazards exist. Topics include: fall hazard recognition, evaluation, and control; construction exposures and applications; detailed review of fall protection regulations and requirements; hierarchy of fall protection systems; fall hazard evaluation; eliminating and controlling fall hazards; Aerial Lifts and ladders; developing and maintaining a managed fall protection program; conducting fall hazard surveys and inspections; fall prevention and protection equipment and system selection and use; and incident investigations. Training includes active participation with hands-on activities and demonstrations. This course satisfies the training prerequisite for the Authorized Trainer Program designation in Fall Protection. Prerequisites: OSHA #500 Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for Construction, OSHA #501 Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for General Industry, or ATP 191 Safety & Health Authorized Trainer. This course satisfies the requirements of OSHA, ANSI, and USACE 385-1-1. Disaster Site Worker Trainer Course 30 Hours | $695

This course prepares experienced Outreach Training Program trainers to present 7.5- and 15-hour Disaster Site Worker Outreach training classes intended for second responders (those arriving hours or days after the event). Course topics include the National Response Framework, the Incident Command System, disaster work zone safety, respiratory protection, communication issues, applying elements of successful adult training programs, and knowledge, skills, and attitudes to awareness training about safety and health standards at natural and human-made disaster sites. This course incorporates an overview of instructional strategies, design, and practices for adult learning settings. It explores situational and cultural factors that influence adult learning and reviews the requirements of ANSI Z490.1 on how to create, maintain, and evaluate effective EH&S training. Participants will develop informational presentations based upon the technical instruction and individual research requirements. Application of engineering and management principles, criteria, and techniques to optimize safety within the constraints of operational effectiveness, time, and cost throughout all phases of the life cycle of a system or facility. Topics include FMEA/FMECA, fault tree analysis, event tree analysis, hazard analysis, and probability models for risk prediction. Participants gain an understanding of hazard effects, engineering models, and mathematical tools to assess hazardous conditions. The course equips students to use safety engineering analysis for accident probability assessment.

This course covers the Department of Defense (DoD) requirements for the safe design of fuzes, munition ignition systems, and associated ignition safety devices used to arm and fire munition and propulsion systems. Fuze and ignition safety standards are explained along with the safety review process to include the applicable regulations and artifacts required for approval.

Insensitive Munitions 8 Hours

The course reviews the Insensitive Munitions Program and covers the current policy and guidance, the development process and the safety implications.
