The Lady Vols hit .354 as a team last weekend while their pitchers limited opponents to a .181 batting average. ¢ UT is ranked No. 11 in the latest USA Today/NFCA Top 25 Poll and No. 14 in the latest ESPN.com/USA Softball Top 25 Poll. ¢ With a 5-0 win over Ohio on Feb. 6, Tennessee improved to 13-7 all-time in season openers and 11-3 under the direction of Ralph Weekly and Karen Weekly in the first game of the year. ¢ Rainey Gaffin hit a grand slam in Tennessee’s 9-0 (5) rout of Dayton on Feb. 6 ,2015. It was Tennessee’s first grand slam since Madison Shipman drove in four on one swing against South Carolina on March 21, 2014. ¢ Taylor Koenig enjoyed an outstanding opening weekend, hitting .667 (6-for-9) with two homers, two doubles, 10 RBIs, five runs, a 1.556 slugging percentage and a .750 on-base mark.
