S E P T E M B E R 1938. The minds of most Frenchmen were on the events of recent weeks, as Europe teetered and finafly backed away slightly from the brink of war. At least three Frenchmen, though, had no thoughts of war or even of Europe. Bernard DeColmont, his wife Genevieve, and his friend Antoine DeSeyne were in southwestern Wyoming, camped just below the railroad town of Green River, Mr. Webb is assistant curator.
