As was his custom, he drove to the crumbling Saltair resort on the shores of the Great Salt Lake to continue studying ways to restore the aging pleasure palace. For many years he had been a lone voice urging restoration of the resort; indeed, he was one of the driving forces behind the effort. His persistence and sound engineering background had gradually won over supporters in the SUNDAY, NOVEMBER
