How do I sign up for housing? Visit utc.edu/housing to begin the housing sign-up process.
1. Get admitted to UTC
2. Submit housing application online and pay the $25 nonrefundable application fee.
3. Applications are accepted year round as space is available. We encourage you to complete your housing application as soon as you are admitted.
4. Assignments are done based on application complete date, roommate preferences and room preferences. You can update your preferences any time after applying.
5. Once assigned, students must electronically sign their contract and pay their pre-payment, which goes towards their total housing fee for the fall semester.

Are all freshman required to live on campus?
Yes. While it is required that all freshman live on campus, exceptions can be made for students if they live within a 45-mile radius with a parent or legal guardian, are married, have a child or children and/or have a medical condition preventing them from living in a campus environment.
Can I bring a pet?
Only fish in a tank no larger than 10 gallons are allowed. ADA service animals are allowed. Emotional support animals approved by the Disability Resource Center may be permitted. Other animals are not permitted inside the residence complexes.
Can I bring my car to campus? Where can I park?
Everyone is allowed to bring their car and to purchase parking passes to any of the available lots on campus. Contact Parking Services at (423) 425-4051 or visit utc.edu/parking for more information.
