STUDENTS OF MOODY “The biggest thing I have learned since I entered Moody is that communication in general is just such an essential to almost every aspect of life. And because of that an education that breaks down all the nuances of communication is personally relevant. A professor’s commitment to learning through their research and their dedication to teaching is something that really inspires me to increase the time and energy I spend on the curriculum. They motivate me to do better. I’m a 3rd generation Longhorn. My dad and granddad both went to UT and although I had never been to Austin until I was 17 years old, I knew this was the place for me as soon as I visited. The first time I came to UT, I could feel the passion and energy coming from campus and the people that radiate around it. Everyone truly wants to be here and pursue what they’re doing. Seeing that passion for the first time as a wide eyed 17 year old has very much influence the reason that I’m here today.” - Luke Hooten, RTF junior

“Being in Moody has taught me to trust myself a little bit more and to trust what I’m doing and not compare myself to other people. I took at tour at UT, and fell in love with it. I could tell the environment and community was perfect for me. On the tour, I learned about RTF, and at the time I didn’t know what I wanted to major in. I thought it sounded perfect. I was in yearbook in high school, and I love making creative projects and working with other people. Film is the perfect way to do that. I came into film and took an advertising class and it seemed like a great thing too. A group of people coming together for a creative outcome. It all fit so perfectly, and I’m very happy with my choices. Moody has taught me how to harness my creativity and taught me how to connect with people. Moody students are way more fun than other students, so it’s helped me develop my personality and voice and learn how to express myself.” -Logan Longoria, Advertising and RTF junior
