Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor, Dr. Kennard Brown

Executive Vice Chancellor

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the 2021 BSA Awards Ceremony! Twenty-nine years later, the Black Student Association at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center continues to recognize the achievements of African American students in the Colleges of Dentistry, Graduate Health Science, Health Professions, Medicine, Nursing, and Pharmacy. The Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor salutes this year’s honorees for their many contributions to our University and commitment to the health professions.

Our longtime support of this signature event is a source of pride for our institution. The BSA Awards not only highlight the accomplishments of the award recipients but reflects the beliefs and values of this great institution as well. It is in this manner that the inspiring message of these awards connects UTHSC to a commitment of inclusivity and equal opportunity. Joining with fellow University community members and other community supporters, we extend congratulations to all honorees whose tireless dedication to education and service has earned them this recognition.

We wish all honorees continued success!

Sincerely,

Kennard Brown, JD, MPA, PhD, FACHE

Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Operations Officer The University of Tennessee Health Science Center
