About Endowments

Wisconsin Athletics is dedicated to elevating the lives of our student-athletes through the awarding of scholarships. An endowed fund provides our programs with resources and support today and in perpetuity.

The invested amount continues to produce a reliable stream of income each year. With the rising costs of education, endowed scholarships have never been more important.

ENDOWMENT BENEFITS:

Opportunity to name the fund in honor or memory of an individual or family

Matched with a student-athlete recipient in accordance with the criteria of the fund (may be shared if partial scholarship)

Invitation to annual event recognizing donors and student-athlete recipients

Access to tickets, parking, and special events based on annual gift towards endowment

Recognition on the Forever Badgers electronic donor wall at the Kohl Center

Endowment Numbers

Wisconsin Athletics annually funds approximately $14 million in student-athlete scholarships

Endowed scholarships may be established with a minimum gift or pledge of $50,000

Approximately 450 Badger student-athletes are on athletic scholarships (full or partial)
