OPEN DAY experience it for yourself 8 June 2019
TODAY IS JUST THE START Going to university is about more than just getting a qualification. You should leave equipped with the knowledge, skills and practical experience to make an impact. A degree from UWE Bristol means experience that will complement your education. From work placements and sports, to volunteering and networking, we’ll help you get the most from your opportunities. So instead of showing employers what you can do, you’ll be able to show them what you’ve done. That’s the UWE Bristol 360° experience. Everyone and everything here shares a single purpose: to make sure that you’re well-positioned for the future you want. Our focus on real-world learning experiences means that when you graduate you’ll be adaptable, enterprising and ready for work. We have connections with over 1,000 national and international employers and one of the largest paid internship programmes in the UK. So you'll enjoy a richer, fuller, more relevant learning experience which will increase your employability.
Today is your chance to find this out for yourself. Meet passionate academic staff and talk to enthusiastic students about their own adventures. Find out about all the extra-curricular activities you can get involved in. Love sports? Music? Debating or volunteering? The opportunities are endless, so make sure you take a tour of our facilities and see everything on offer. And finally, don‘t forget to have a look around Bristol before you leave. We’re biased, of course, but it’s hard to think of a better UK city to study and live in. Welcome to the start of your UWE Bristol experience.
What now? • Check your ticket for your Sign-in Point, and make your way there to let us know you’ve arrived. The Sign-in Points are open between 09:30 and 14:00. • Head over to the Information and Advice Zone. This is where you can book yourself on tours of campus and the beautiful city of Bristol. • Browse the next few pages for information on talks, tours and other activities throughout the day. 1
