Food lover’s Bristol Crowned the ‘Best Culinary Destination’* and ‘World Vegan Capital’**, foodies will be wowed by Bristol’s food scene. “I like to take a walk along the river, stop for a burger from 3 Brothers Burgers, and then in true west-country style pop into The Apple for a cider!”
Ilaria Sources: *World Food Travel Association: Food Trekking Award 2019 and **Chef’s Pencil in 2020 for third consecutive year.

Music lover’s Bristol “Bristol has such a dynamic music scene, with unique venues hidden all around the city. My favourite was going to a floating concert on Thekla, an old boat moored in the harbourside.”
Daisy
Bristol’s green spaces “There are plenty of parks in Bristol. I really like the Clifton Suspension Bridge and its surrounding green areas. Also, Ashton Court and Leigh Woods make for a lovely afternoon walk.”

A city of opportunities If it’s exciting opportunities you’re looking for, you’ve chosen the right city. Bristol has lots to shout about - from its strong engineering history and a thriving financial services sector to a buzzing creative sector in one of the UK’s leading creative powerhouses. It’s no wonder Bristol is on track to be one of the UK’s fastest growing cities for economic growth. For you, this means fantastic industry links that give you lots of real-world experience.
I did my placement year at Bristol Zoo Gardens as an invertebrate keeper, which helped me discover my passion for science communications. I want to make people aware how important invertebrates are to our survival, plus how awesome they are. This led me to study my Master’s in Science Communication at UWE Bristol.”

I got involved in the reading buddy volunteering programme at Glenfrome primary school to help Year 6 pupils improve their reading skills. Like me, many come from families who don't speak English at home, so it's hard to get this help at home. It was rewarding to see them develop and knowing they would benefit. It helped me too as this work experience looks great on my CV.”
