Welcome to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater!

Our campus and community are excited to celebrate student athletes from across the country at their finest. We are a proud partner with the National Wheelchair Basketball Association and honored to host the men’s collegiate championships. Hosting such a prestigious event builds upon our legacy as an institution of excellence in adaptive learning, engagement and athletics.

Together we look forward to a tournament filled with great athleticism, competition and celebration. Congratulations to all our athletes and coaches who continue to accomplish so much on -- and off -- the basketball court.

On behalf of everyone at the university and in the Whitewater community, the Warhawk family sincerely welcomes you.

We hope you enjoy the games!

UW-Whitewater Chancellor Dr. Corey A. King

uw-whitewater fun facts

we love purple education is a priority summer fun

Warhawk Drive next to the Williams Center is painted each September with the help of incoming students, faculty, staff and Willie Warhawk our mascot. Not only for our students, but also in the fact that we graduate the most licensed teachers in the state.

Our Whitewater and Rock County campuses inspire 5,000+ young minds through camps in arts, academics and athletics including wheelchair basketball each year. (Visit camps.uww.edu.)

We are recognized as “Wisconsin’s Largest Accredited Business School” and “Wisconsin’s Best, Single-school, Online MBA and Business Program.”

A UW-Whitewater faculty member was recently chosen to serve as the state’s poet laureate.

Our men’s and women’s wheelchair basketball teams have won 13 national championships and 3 national championships, respectively, and produced numerous Paralympic athletes and medalists. Our academic organizations win a lot, too, like our American Marketing Association (12 years in a row!), and our Active Minds organization, that focuses on mental health.

back to business spoken word championship tradition one of a kind

We’re the first and only university at any level to win national championships in men’s basketball, football and baseball in the same year.
