"Sai Nagar Women Civic Exnora stands for selfless service in developing the environmental and should be role model for surrounding areas", said Mangalam Balasubramanian, Exnora personnel and environmental activist while addressing the gathering on the 9th anniversary celebrations of the civic association held at Stree Seva Mandir, Sai Nagar. Members of exnora, residents of Sai Nagar, members of Sai Nagar Welfare Associations along with members of welfare associations in the surrounding areas attended the anniversary celebrations. Mrs. Mangalam in her address conveyed the message that the service commences with individual, at home which leads to

surrounding areas, city and nation. "Most of us make the environment unclean by dumping garbage, without knowing its consequences," she said. She added that Exnora International has always been working towards motivating the system of environmental development. She said that as on now, organic waste is being mixed with soil, which leads to environment pollution. She called upon people to decrease usage of plastic materials. She highlighted that the civic movement should start from house level. She announced that 10 research students are being involving with Exnora in converting the waste into new products. Sivanandam, Elenjezhian and other dignities from surrounding areas expressed their views. Punitha, president of

Women Exnora delivered the welcome address. She pointed out that Rs.2000 announced as flood relief has not reached the residents even after its announcements by Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. She requested the authorities to take care of the drainage and canal system in the area. At the meeting an announcement was made about the new elected office bearers and executive members of the association. Chief guest, Mrs Mangalam invited the office bearers of the association to Pammal to have a look at the system of clearance of garbage and maintenance of cleanliness in innovative ways. According to NASSCOM chairman, Ganesh Natarajan, the year 2009 is a year of challenges and opportunities as the job markets tighten and employers start looking for the best. He adds that one needs to have ready-to-go skills. Now it will be those people with these skills who will be bagging all the employment. Given the above, it is just the right time to focus on building your resumes by upgrading your domain skills. Preparing for the future alone secures it. The preparation calls for identification of interests, alignment of courses to equip yourselves in terms of strengthening your areas of interest and passion. For those who are already employed in the competitive IT environment, there is a need for constant upgradation and NIIT is more than ready for it every time. For students in colleges who need the ready-to-skills, NIIT has a plethora of courses just suitable for them. The recently concluded NITAT

gave an opportunity nationwide and over 73,000 students appeared for the test to assess them. Grand Master, Vishwanthan Anand addressed the successful students of NIITAT and those who were joining NIIT to train in IT for making "the right move at the right time". Calling this as an opportunity to power the future, the world Chess Champion expressed his hearty congratulations. The Top 1000 ranks holders are going to receive scorecards signed by him. G.Raghavan, president in his address expressed immense optimism in the opportunities that emerged even in these moments of adversity of an economic slowdown. He shared that opportunities in networking, business intelligence, gaming and the likes still face a dearth of skilled talent and students need to take strategic decisions to identify the areas where there is a demand and train themselves accordingly. A session to equip the students in the progress at

NIIT Vadapalani center is going on. NIIT Vadapalani has been in existence for more than ten years with alumni strength of over 10,000 students placed both in India and abroad. The center has very strong academic base and is backed by a team of committed faculty, industry professionals from the field of IT who have worked the U.S for more than a decade, and a soft skill resource persons for continual training for placements. Strategically located opposite Vijaya Hospital, the center currently holds strength of nearly 500 students pursuing courses in IT. NIIT has announced special offers during this month on the courses in order to encourage the students to take an initiative to train and be industry-ready for the turnaround.
