Face the exams with a smile

I am having diabetes for the past two years. For the last six months I have been suffering from abdominal disturbances. Whether this has anything to do with diabetes? Abdominal disturbances in diabetes patients are not a common problem. Abdominal disturbances can occur in diabetic patients either due to anti-diabetes drugs or due to diabetic complications. But, abdominal disturbances can be due to non diabetes causes also, as in general population. Diabetes drugs like metformin, acarbose and voglibose can cause abdominal disturbances like flatulence, fullness, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. These can be minimized or alleviated by sustained release metformin preparations and low strength dose of anti-diabetes drugs. Aspirin, which is taken by most of the diabetes patients for heart safety can cause abdominal disturbances due to gastritis. If abdominal disturbances is very severe and disturb your daily routine, probably you will have to stop the medicines. Abdominal disturbances can occur due to a condition called as gastroparesis. In a diabetes patients, gastroparesis can occur due to uncontrolled blood sugar levels and diabetes complication which affects the nerves supplying the abdominal structures. We have to find out the individual cause according to individuals to treat abdominal disturbances.

probably the major reason for not able to focus. S t e p 2 Be focussed. Do not just study for five minutes and then give up. Divide your time equally and revise the subjects. Though most people believe that cramming for a test will not help, in the college world it works! Step 3 Step 1 Turn off all the distractions Set aside time and take small, including your phone and quick break in between television. Distractions are studying. It's too late to take a leisurely 30-minute break. So,

be careful about time allotment. Step 4 Make study notes and arrange them in the order of importance. Since these are times for last minute preparations, you should set aside the information and notes that you already know and instead focus more on what you don't know. Step 5 If you are all set for a cram session, use flash cards, Internet, drawings and other

methods to further help you. Step 6 Get good sleep. This is important and never ever skip sleep. Step 7 On the day previous to your final exam, read important notes, and be prepared with whatever you need (pencil, pens, paper, log book or calculator) for your final examination. Vikram V

Archana commenced her programme with an invocatory piece – Gajavadana in Sree Ranjani. Madurai R.Muralidharan`s composition on Lord Ganesa in Kanakangi raga set to adi thalam was an apt choice. Archana, a class11 student of P.S.B.B.School has been learning dance from the age of seven and her passion and dedication was visible in the varnam. Tanjore`s Quarttet`s Varnam – Sakhiye Inda

Velaiyil Jaalam seyyade in Aanand Bhairavi, depicted the nayaki`s bhakti oriented sringara bhaavam . The glorious activities of her nayaka and the various carnations of Lord Vishnu, was explained to nayaki`s friend through dramatic narration. The episode Gajendra Moksham was a treat to watch. She answered the jathis very well and her footwork was fluent. The poses were graceful and neatly executed. Her eyes spoke volumes of rasa . In Sanchara Charanam –“ Par Gaana ma yile adhika mayyalaal madi mayangi”, the physical sufferings of nayaki was elaborately depicted. Subramania Bharathiar`s Thaga Thagavenru Aadumo in

Sivasakthi raga set to adi revealed the glory of Goddess. Jayadev`s” Chandana Charchitha Neela kalebara” was innovative and provided variety. Description of Lord Krishna`s beauty, the Gopikas, Gopikas involvement in various bhaavas, action and reaction of multiple characters took the show to grater heights. The vocalist mesmerized the audience. It was a novel idea by the Guru and the vocalist to guide the artiste to perform without symbols so that the clear diction helps enjoy rasaanubhavam, She concluded the show with Dr.M.Balamuralikrishna`s Kadanakuthuhalam raga thillana with scintillating foot work. Sheela Unnikrishna (on nattuvangam and choreography), Chitrambari on the vocal, Suresh on the violin, Natarajan on the flute, Nagai Narayanan on the mrudangam supported the performer with dedication.
