The mridangam player, Venkat
MUK in Telugu
The fact that Venkat Prabu is multi faceted is no news. But he can play the mridangam very well is definitely news. The director- actor apparently plays the instrument very well. When actor Prasanna came to know of this hidden talent in Venkat, he requested the director to play the mridangam for his marriage with Sneha. Venkat Prabhu excused himself saying he has not practiced in recent times but he very enthusiastically offered to sing for their wedding. A delighted Prasanna invited Venkat and his brother Premji for a pre wedding bash.
Muppozhudum Un Karpanaigal (MUK) will soon release in Telugu as Nirantharam Nee Oohale. The Telugu version will be dubbed soon. But sources say that the climax and the scene pattern are likely to be changed. The film’s crew recently celebrated the 50th day of the film. The Teulug version is expected to be out soon. The film stars Atharvaa and Amala Paul in the lead and has music by G. V. Prakash.
Amy as Barbie!
Amy Jackson sure seems to be going places. The Madrasapattinam girl who shot to fame by winning the Miss Teen World contest has further scaled the ladder up with her recent hits in tinseltown. The makers of Barbie dolls have apparently approached her to make Barbie dolls inspired by her doll like looks. Earlier, Katrina Kaif had Barbie dolls modeled on her and now Amy is delighted to step into Kat’s shoes.
Brazilain babe for Billa 2
Billa 2 seems to full of surprises. Initially it was Parvathy Omanakuttan who is playing the lead in the film. And now it is Brazilian model Gabriella bartanate. The beauty is shaking a leg for a song in the film. She said that she had met Chakri Toleti, the director sometime back and had expressed her desire to act following which she received this offer. Billa 2 is a prequel to Billa. The film traces the life of Billa and how he became a don.
Jiiva and Samantha sing for the maestro
There is always something new to look out for in Gautam Menon’s films. Needhaane En Ponvasantham ( NEP) also joins the list. The film starring Jiiva and Samantha has the maestro Ilayaraja doing the music. The lead actors Jiiva and Samantha were cajoled by Gautam to sing the title track of the film. The actors were both excited and nervous about singing for the maestro. Gautam promises a fabulous audio track for the film. Let’s hope NEP repeats the magic of Gautam’s previous films.
Shriya helps the girls
Actress Shriya Saran is one of those few actresses who devote a lot of their time for charity work. The actress has been doing charity work for various causes for quite some time now. Shriya along with yesteryear actress Poonam Dhillon are organizing a show for empowering the girl children. Shriya has offered to walk the ramp for the show. Hope the two ladies help raise some funds to provide a life to the thousands of needy girls.
