PREMIERSHIP LISTS The premiership lists appearing In this week's issue were compiled from scores phoned to the Herald last Saturday . We have since ascert ained that there were some inaccuracies (which unfortunately seems to be a regular occurence). The incorrect points for and against and percentages will be rectified next week . The normal procedure- is to hold the Premiership Lists until the official scores are received but the Anzac Day holiday necessitated giving the printers the copy as early as possible . For the same reason, any corrections to team lists which have not been made will be rectified next week .

DAVID WHITELAW'S CENTURY David Whitelaw today plays his 100th gam e for De La Salle, thus giving everyone at the club an opportunity to congratulate him and thank him for his services . David, a schoolboy sprint champion, joined us in 1968, and as our best first year player, was established in the senior side . His skill and enthusiasm has often encouraged struggling "De La" sides to victories, and his best and fairest award, plus interstate nomination, in 1970 were well deserved . His dedication earned him the vice-captaincy in 1972 and his marriage last year should not deter him from playing many more games . Congratulations David on your century .

Congratulations to Old Trinity's reserves vice-captain Doug Galbraith, who plays his 50th game with the club against Kew today . Doug first played with the club in 1969, however he has had an injury and business interrupted career, hence his slow progression to the 50 mark . With the added responsibilities of a wife and the vice it is to be hoped he settles down and continues to play as well as he did against MHSOB last week .
UMPIRE'S CORNE R
CENTURY TO AMP RUCKMAN Congratulations from the AMP Club t o John Moor, who plays his 100th game with the club today . John, who joined in 1967 has . played the majority of his career in the knock-ruckman position . His consistent performances over the seasons have earned him a great amount of respect within the club . John has also been an active member off the field, holding the position of club treasurer this year. Once again, congratulations John from everyone associated with AMP club .
FOOTY'S FIRST STREAKER Football had its first streaker last Saturday . One player was late in taking his afterthe-game shower, when he returned to the dressing rooms, players and supporters had gathered in the room, including four attractive young ladies who were seated in a row against the wall . Not realizing the company was mixed, the player wearing only his birthday suit (not even a towel) walked right past the girls, proving one thing - boys can still blush . No names but he is a "Podgy" sort of player . It's on tonight at Da ry l Hill's country ranch - 189 Scoresby Road, Boronia, 7.30 p.m . It's our first Bar-B-Q of the season. New umpires - don't be timid - come along and get to know your mates . This is David Dressing's fi rst function as social secretary . Let us make is a good one for him. We offer our congratulations to George McTaggart on receiving Life Membership of the VAFA - an honour well earned . George, a regular and popular guest at most of the Umpire's Social Evenings, has given many years of service to the VAFA . Last Friday the umpire's coach held a training session and coaching clinic at Scotch College for schoolboy umpires. A total of 48 boys attended including three who travelled from Assumption College, Kilmore . They were given specialised training on the oval by a group of umpires, who taught them how to make correct position, bounce the ball and in general all aspects of umpiring on the fi eld .
After a pie night the coach gave a 2-hour talk and question session . The boys really came up with some curly questions . The masters and the boys were loud in their praise of the excellent instruction on "field work" given so ve ry capably by the umpires, who gave up their afternoon and night to assist the coach . We hope that by helping these boys we may eventually gain some of them as umpires and so aid the V.A .F.A. in this endless quest for "Knights of the Whistle" . To Brian Nicholls and his family we offer our sincere sympathy on the sudden loss of his father. Brian was attending a coaching class last Thursday night when he received news of his father's death .
UMPIRE "DROUGHT" EASES The position regarding availability of V.A .F.A . Umpires for matches in D Reserve, E . Reserve and F Reserve Sections has improved greatly since the last meeting of the Association at the beginning of the month . At the present time it appears likely that the Association will be able to provide Field Umpires for ALL matches . For this reason, it will not now be necessary for clubs in the Sections referred to above to regularly supply umpires in accordance with the notice sent to clubs shortly before the start of the season . The position is not one for complacency however, and clubs in these Sections are advised to have a "stand-by" umpire available should unforeseen circumstances make It Impossible for the Association to provide an umpire. It will not now be necessary for home Clubs to notify the Secretary of the V .A .F .A. of the name of the proposed umpire in advance, but should it be necessary at any time for a club to provide an umpire, the procedure as outlined in the circular letter will apply .

SNOW'S STOR M Well, no wurries larst week, won in a common canter, as the racin' blokes sa y about 4 or 5 goals wee's wun bye - it wuz so easy I don't even no exackly wot the diffrence wuz . The new kid I told yez about larst week, Bennie, kicked 6 goals-wot a beautee e's gonna bee. E's only 17 now an' with me coachin' 'im fer a seezon or too, 'oo no's wear 'e could finish, probably get inter the Vic . side an' even the Australian side with the big green A . Must menshun fer Kev McKay's sake yer no as one coach ter anuther - that the umpy dun a reel good job - wanner the noo wuns too - bet 'ell be among the top boys soon . Anyway, back ter the game - we'opped out rite frum the start an' never looked like gettin' beat - tho the uther mob came at us in the larst quarter, but wee's 'eld 'em orf well .
I wuz reel prouda me blokes - they played propper good football fer the first match an' it wuz a reel good game . Been' the fiurst game, we 'ad a bit 'uv a "do" after it, an' it wuz a good nite, 'cept a cuppla galahs frum the uther mob 'ad a few too many an' got abuzive like, an' tried ter start a blue, but Brownie and Johnno soon fixed 'em . The blokes 'ave been trainin' well this week an' just as well, cos we play the mob wot beat us in the grand final . Needless ter say, I'm out fer revenge an' I've got the boys all keed up - yu'd reckon it wuz the grand final orl over again . I s'pose it is too reely, only this time where gunner win it .
Cheers, chinas, see youse next Saterdee . Congratulations from all at Reservoir .Old Boys to Jim Paulka and George Tuininga, who both played their 50th game for the club last Saturday. With Jim's dash and George's tireless ruckwork, both players are in for a good season, and will be an asset to R .O .B . on their attack on 'A' section . Congratulations are also in order for Ian Currie who today achieves his first 50 games with Old Brighton . Ian has become the No . 1 ruckman in the club and now carries the burden of that position . His exceptional spring and rucking ability makes him a first class knock-ruckman and his safe hands are extremely useful in the packs . Congratulations for 50 fine games Ian and we look forward to the next 50 .
