Foster's Lager~; ~ A symbol of Australia for almost a century . Since the Fosters brothers brewed the first distinctive Australian lager in 1888 the fame of Australia's favourite beer has grown around Australia and around the world . Foster's was first exported to South Africa during the Boer war. Today you can get a Foster's from Baghdad to Bangkok, San Francisco to Singapore . It's by far the biggest selling Australian beer in Britain . One of the top 10 selling imports in the U.S .A. Sold in every Australian state, Foster's outsells every other Australian brand of beer .

Australia's favourite beer.

Collegians held top spot with a psychologically important 16 point win over De La Salle . It was important for several reasons . It was an away win, in the middle of the season, in the wet and over top side De La Salle who overran them in the last half of last year's Preliminary Final . I believed all last year that Collegians was a very good side and was very disappointed when they meekly bowed out of ihe finals last year. I wore the black arm bank for a week as they were exciting to watch! Craig Johnstone picked up the idea when he wore an arm band after Brazil lost to France on penalties! The emotions were the same ! This Collegians' win was unlike some of their earlier walkovers . It was a battle of the defences and nence low-scoring . Ric Schober and Simon Williams were superb central defenders for the Lions and likewise Brian Waldron and Mick Deveson for De La Salle . Sadly, V .A .F .A . Captain Mick Deveson has a leg injury and is doubtful for the Carnival . . Athreatto Collegians supremacy might be emerging in the form of a revitalised Bulleen-Templestowe . They comprehensively accounted for North Old Boys at Royal Park by 61 points . North's home ground form must be of concern . A fortnight ago it was Ivanhoe who cleaned them up! Bulleen's Tony Keenan and Mal Palmer each contributed 6 goals and Ric DeMarte seems to be getting better each week after a slow start to the season . The win has taken Bulleen-Temp . into second place . Old Scotch scored a very significant win over Ivanhoe by 55 points . Ivanhoe were much further behind than this early in the last term so it was a very convincing win by the 'Scotchies' . To be fair though, Ivanhoe were missing both Adams and Boccabella and Scotch appeared to be at full strength . Stuart Glascott and Peter Ford are fine wingmen and Peter Brown and Michael Polkinghorne are consistnet half forwards . On their day they can provide enough drive to give near-veteran Peter Sherwen a field day . 9 goals was his tally on Saturday ! University Blues handed out the usual drubbing to Caulfield Grammarians, this time by 107 points . It wasn't that Blues that well either! Let us hope that the 'Fields will regain some of their injured soon and make a fight of it for A Section . I can't believe they are a sbad as they appear! Don Mclnnes bagged 8 goals from his left foot and the elusive but elegant Steve Wallis 4 . Only David Matthews in the ruck and Trevor Royals on the wing showed much for Caulfield . On Saturday at Elsternwick Park, Ormond destroyed my chance of tipping the card with a 71 point win over Marcellin . It looks like a very sad selection after the event, doesn't it? Hill and Nash are really giving something for Ormond on the forward line . Ormond is confident of a better second half of the season, so things are shaping up for an interesting few weeks . Peter French Previews Todays Game s

A SECTION HIGHLIGHTS * De La Salle 16 point loss to Collegians

see them tumble from 1st to 6th . A Section has divided itself clearly in two with 6 sides in the hunt for a finals berth and 4 staving off relegation . At this stage I'm prepared to predict that the Blues will make the four and that the relegation battle will be a 3 way affair between Caulfield, Marcellin and Ivanhoe .

B SECTION HIGHLIGHTS * Undoubtedly O .M .'s surprise win over Parkside who after a promising opening fell right away . The Blacks vital win ove rFawkner in whatDoctor Brian Costello described as a first class game . C SECTION HIGHLIGHTS * A .J .A.X . Coach Phil Davis promised me a fortnight ago that his side would be second by the end of June and he was right . Their win over the in form Thomastown was a fine performance . Kew came back into calculations with a surprise win over Old Trinity at Bulleen . The 'Mitres' are certainly struggling for form at the half way mark . D SECTION HIGHLIGHTS * North Brunswick's big win over West . Preston's confirmation as the side to beat after a resounding win over Old Mentonian s E SECTION HIGHLIGHTS * Clayton's surprise victory over Peninsula, which sees the Dragons now in 5th spot only 2 points behind Elsternwick . Will they rue that draw? Bulleen United remain undefeated with 9 rounds to go . F SECTION HIGHLIGHTS * Old Essendon also remain undefeated whilst Whitefriars surprise Doveton winning by 28 points . St . Andrew's big win lifts the Saints to third . G SECTION HIGHLIGHTS * Eltam cause the boilover beating Old Carey by 5 points . Parkside came from behind to beat GTV-9 ****** ~ Before looking at today's matches, I would The match of the day in A Section will be played like on behalf of all Amateur Football supporters at Timber Ridge between Bulleen-Temp . and to wish John Forster and the State Team the Uni Blues. Both sides are in top form and a high very best of luck in its attempt to wrest back the standard game can be expected, although they honours lost to South Australia at last years Carnival . Despite the many problems, including will be somewhat weakened by the l oss of players to the Carnival team . The home side hasa strong injury, exams and work commitments we have defence led by the exciting duo of Turner and the squad to do the job and the V .A .F.A. proud . Espenchied who will line up against two old stagers in Tyquin and Curnow. It will be a good

T test for the youngsters whose pace should give tt i ei the edge . Ruck rover s Leig h nghon e (Bjwill both iha (B,T.) an d Richard do vell and set up many attacking moves but I m going for the combined to win due to its far sL perior rover - Vin Asdagi and Ric DeMarte ;'ho has reall y able todcohi s verbthef loss of Yandell, Way jus t . has the depth necessary ,;;hilst Bulleen-Temp to see them home . Collegians and North OB meet at Harry Trott and despite North's compulsory training run last Sunday I can't see them (or anyone else?) stopping the Lions at this stage of the season . To be sure they will miss Rick Schober and Stephen Dickford, but skipper Hinchen is no strange rto centre half backwhere hewill receive ground support from flankers Newman and parsons . As the Ist line of defence headed by Simon Williams and the ever reliable and dependable Andrew Wright is equally sound, I just can't see North kicking enough goals, for at the otherend Ian Roberts, Wolf and Tim Bennett are all capable goal kickers . North will certainly need a big game from Peter Wright and hope that Egan and Morse if he's fit, plus Hanlon can capitalize on the opportunities that Brown will provide: Collegianswil [also winacrossthecentre and their 8th consecutive victory is not faraway . The loss by North may see it slip out of the top 4 as De La Salle is bound to regroup and will not have much trouble in beating a pretty ordinary Marcellin - especially at East Malvern where Marcellin may have won just once . `Ivanhoeare instrifeandcould notmeetOrmond at a worse time . Certainly the return of Dale Boccabella will lift the sides goalscoring ability but Ivanhoe has neither the depth norcharacter of Ormond whose victory will consolidate its place in the top 4 . I wasconfident lastweekthatOld Scotch would beatlvanhoewhichtheydid infinestyle . However for some reason I've last it this week and despite the 'Fields disastrous record over the last few weeks, I believe they'll turn the tables on the Carcinals today and thus really hot up the relegation stakes! In B Section Old Xaverians play Fawkner at homeand start logical favo u rites . Fawknerknows it must win ar it will slip out of the finals race and are bound to take the match up to the Section leaders . However as Old Xavs have more talent spread all over the ground they should be untroubled winning . Old Paradians at home have been looking forward to the return match with Parkside since its second round 10 point loss . Both sides have been somewhat inconsistnet but at the Garvey Oval O .P .'swillbebuilt upforthisone, particularly as victory would see it take over the Devil's place at No . 2 on the ladder . At the Uni the Blacks will win again, this time against St . Bernard's and St. Kilda even without Capiron and Meehan will not drop its match against Therry . . THE AMATEUR FOOTBALLER 1986

O.M .'sflushed with itsshockwin overParkside can be expected to carry on today and leave Old Brighton flounderingonthebottom ofthe ladder.

Banyule (4th) travel toThomastown (3rd) quite confident that it can topple the home side who received a football lesson from AJAX last week . I don't share that confidence as Thomastown is a tough nut to crack at home and I'm sure they'll bounce back today. AJAX have moved quietly and unannounced up to second and will put a dent in Melbourne High's plans of returning to the four by beating them at Albert Park this afternoon . I'm not sure what's happened to Melbourne High who with Old Haileybury hasthe job ahead if it isto feature in September . SpeakingofOld Haileyburytheirarchivist(who else but Andrew Langford-Jones) informs me that they've won their last five straight against St. Kevin's at Kooyong, well I wonder just how many straight they've won against Old Trinity, because whatever the sequence itwill be broken todaybyOldTri nitywhoaredeterm inedtoavenge last week's shock defeat by Kew . In other games Old Camberwell at home may be too good forSt. Kevin's whoare going through a torrid time and another home side Kew will edge further up the ladder by beating Hampton Rovers . In D Section Old Ivanhoe has found its feet and at home are the tip over West Brunswick who let me down badly last week and Preston MBOB will be untroubled by Power House . Monash Blues will beat Old Mentonians and although Coburg will face a tough task at Heatherton I believe the ' Burgers' can win and keep the pressure on the Panthers . Finally despite a good win IastweekBalaclava isstillthetipagainst North Brunswick. The long awaited return bout between State Bankand Bulleen United will be played atAlbert Park . On its own ground and in front of what secretary Bernie Coonie tells me will be a big crowd I'm going for the tigers to be the first side to upset Bulleen United this season . In other games l IikeSt .Bede'sathomeagainstBrunswick, Clayton overWilliamstown, Peninsula togetback on the rails against the OGGS and Elsternwick over Uni Reds . F Section winners : St . Andrew's over ANZ BAnk, Old Essendon against F .I .T.O .B., Uni High overComm . Bank, Doveton to reverse the opening round reslut and beat Latrobe and Whitefriars over St . Leonards . G Section - All the home sides : Old Carey, GTV-9 and Williamstown . 5

Personality ID 100 GAMES AT ROVERLAN D All at Hampton Rovers congratulate David Rogerson on reaching this great milestone with the Club. Rogo started with the Club in 1980 and has developed into a strong and determined attacking backline player, his dashes and long kicking out of defence are often an inspiration to his teammates . Not only does David's committmentto the Rovers involve playing but like the true clubman he is, Rogo is also acclaimed with running the social committee, assisting with the paperwork on a Saturday, cleaning the rooms, and a ssisting wherever he possibly can . It is no wonder Rogo received the Best Clubman Award last year, so it is with this in mind the the Rovers salute a great clubman on this special occasion .

100 GAMES AT COMMONWEALTH BANK Congratulations to Michael Timothee on playing his 100th game for the club . Mick decided to make a comeback this year, much to the dismay of his wife Bronwen . Now playing on a half back flank, Mick uses his pace and skill to set um many attacks. He is also a very desperate player who never shirks an issue, getting to the football first . Michael is an example to his teammates as he trains as he plays - Flat Out . Well done Mate! ! P.S . More good news in the Timothee family, Bronwen is expecting a new arrival in January 87 . Good Luck !

by Noel Rundl e 10 YEARS AGO - 197 6 De La Salle won the battle for second position in 'A' when they finished too strongly for St . Bernard's at Elsternwick Park, kicking 3 .3 to 0.4 to win 12 .15 to 8 .16 . Best were Loft, McGlueen,Crothers( De LaOand Rackham,Aughton, Doolan (St . Bernards) . Consistency in'C' section - five home teams won a fortnight ago and last week the five visitors won - the same five teams . To add to the coincidence the same thing happened in the reserves . Jack Fulle rton celebrated 25 years as V .A . F.A . secretary. 'A' section umpires were Cordner, Gooman (Yes - the same Benny back in 1976 - N .R .) Rowell, Grubb and Wills . St. Kilda CBOC (B) won their fourth game in a row, beating Collegians 14 .18 to 13 .15 . Stars were Drinan, Jennings, White (St.K) and Williamson, Shinkfield, Rowlands (Coll .) . West Brunswick, still undefeated in'F', had a 48 point victory over F .I .T., 22 .22 to 15 .16 with Allen, Byrd and Callander the best . Junior sections saw N .O .B . (Section 1) and Thomastown (Section 2) both undefeated . Geelong was celebrating its 50th year in th e Association with a "Golden Oldies" Woolshed Barbeque . Old Melburnians, second in 'C', had an easy victory against Power House (eighth), 25 .17 to 12 .9. Best were Pisarski, Knight, Urquhart (8) (O .M .) and Whitmore, Alexander, Upton, Sykes (5) (Power House) . 15 YEARS AGO - 197 1 "O .G .G's" were lucky to take the points agai nstOld Brighton with fullback Michael Crawford saving the day n the final moments . J . Spiden, Nathan and McPherson starrd for the victors, with J . Devine, R . Sanders and Hamilton best for Old Brighton . 100 games to Phil Riley (Ivanhoe), Colin Green (M .H .S .O .B .), Brian McNamara (St. Kevin's) and Maurie Beaumont (Assumption) . Caulfield Grammarians beat Coburg for the third time in a row - all the victories had been by 2 points. The win put Caulfield on top of 'A' section with 8 wins, while five teams were level in second place . St . Bernard's stalwart Peter Nathan battled his way to 100 games with the club . One of the founders of the club, inaugural secretary, and a

member of St . Bernard's first reserves premiership side in 1963, Peter came back, after a nasty accident in 1969 which badly impaired the sight of one eye, to achieve the elusive silver pewter . (Peter is now a member of the V .A .F .A . Executive Committee - Ed .) . 20 YEARS AGO - 1966 Milestones were 150 games to John Vautier (Geelong), John Holt (Elsternwick), 100 to Steve McQueen (C'wealth Bank), David Shea (Coburg), Alan McKenzie (Hampton Rovers) and Alan Metcalf (A .M .P. Society) . Caulfield Grammarians applauded Ron Cabbie's courageous defence in a last quarter passage of play when he won the ball against great opposition, turned into the clear, turned again and in dead silence put it through the middle - for Coburg! Luckily Caulfield were well in front . Top true-boot artists were 'A' section Harley (M .H .S .O.B .) 43, 'B' section - James (Ormond) 27, 'C' section - Guy Wilson (Geel .) 36, 'D' section - Gallagher (St. Pat's) 29, 'E' section - Ruddell (A .M .P.) 41, Junior section 1 - Carr (Ormond) 38, Junior section 2Saymor (C .Bank) 43 . Semetas, Wallace and Ma rtin starredforthe winnerwhile Nance, Broderick and Wilson tried to stem the tide for De La Salle . 35 YEARS AGO - 195 1 The team to represent Victoria in the Carnival at St. Kilda C .G . on July 5 to 10 was : - Doug Arnold, Sam Bi rtles (Hampton Rovers), Duncan Anderson, John Jolley (Univ . Thomas (Comm . Bank) . Comm . Bank congratulated Baden Casey on his 50th game - with 3 goals, he was one of the best afield . Malvern (B Section) went down by 3 point to State Bank to suffer its first loss ; final scores 9.7 (61) to 8 .10 (58) . Elsternwick (D Section) set a new club record by being undefeated after the first round .

Petroff for the inaccuracy of report - Ed .

COACHES It has been reported that a number of coaches have adopted the practice of standing on the boundary line during matches . As a result the Umpires have been instructed not to commence play unitl the coaches are either seated in the area provided OR are positioned BEHIND the fence . The maximum number of persons permitted inside the fence is SEVEN (7) . Failure to comply with the Umpires' directions will result in a report by the umpire of the persons and club concerned, to the Executive Committee of the Association . OLD HAILEYBURIAN S Well would you believe it!!! Today sees two of Old Haileyburians' more remarkable character, Andrew Hicks and David Miller, play their hundredth games for the club . David " Frosty" Miller joined the Bloods in 1980 as one of the most notoriously unfit quartetofruck-rove rsi nthatyear'sj uniorpremiership team . One of the saddest sights of that year was to see his face the day his mates won the flag while he sat on the sidelines nursing a badly cut hand . Since then he has shown flashes of near-genius all over the ground, notably on the half back flank in recent years . "Frosty" is also a dangerous man around goals, despite his dis!ike of kicking for them himself . A Saints addict, the jolly Miller has been a most unfortunate tribunal plaintiff on an almost record number of occasions . Perhaps the outstanding feature of Miller's play is his amazing and creative handball . He has been known to shoot out a handball while still on his way down from taking screamers at the top of a pack, but just as breathtaking can be his interceptions worthy of a great footballing thief . His tacklin suits the character of this alleycat type who has undergone a change of image this year with a trimmed beard and a new long sleeved number 32 jumper. Of generous nature, "Frosty" has offered the old version with the ripped sleeves and faded number to the club archives - it would surely rival Warwick Armstrong's shirt! Have we seen the last ,of that bedraggled appearance as he trudges off on a wet winter's day? THE AMATEUR FOOTBALLER - 1986

Andrew Hicks shared the junior Bestand Fairestaward in 1981, hisfirstyearwith Old Haileyburians . "Hicksy" has set something of a record by playing his 100 games in only 99 footballing Saturdays - he hasn't missed a match n those five and a bit seasons and one day played two games. The moustachioed, sturdy utility is fast approachng "Pom" Burke's club record of 127 consecutive games and claims not to have missed a match since he was 14 . Most of "Hooper's" career has been spent in the backline along the boundary line, although he's occasionally been let off the leash to ruck rove. Not renowned for his pace, but his application, persistance and determination has seen him through to many good performaces, one of the club's great mudlarks ; in the Corrigan mould but with a bit more on top . "Hicksy" is also well-known for his "performances" off the field . Remember the "Madonna" pose on a pleasant Sunday morning ("Stink" always did say he played like a girl anyway!)? Whose the most famous Aprez skier in the club? who had the last cocktail named after him? Ahhh . . . . (two knock knees, clammy thighs, big beer gut, grossen wanderbagen, etc .etc .) Yep, it's the legendary" Hicksy" . So, "Frosty" and "Hicky", you've stuck through some of the Bloods' hardest times . Now that they're turning the corner, it's time to hang around and enjoy some good times .

COLLEGIANS SUPERULES REPOR T Billed as the match of the day by 3AW, the Collegians - Diamond Valley game justified this honour with an excellent display of superrules football . The game opened at a fast pace highlighted by m4ny excellent passages of play from both sides, accurate kicking by Diamond Valley gave them a 10 point advantage at half time . After half time Diamond Valley, lead by Ray Walker (Bu!leen/Temp .) and John Murphy (Fitzroy), jump away and proved too strong to run out easy winners . Brian (Benny) Goodman in his first superules game was undeterred by the big occasion and late in the last quarter was forced to order two players from the field after a minor incident.

Final Scores : Collegians 8 .10 .58 - Diamond Valley 14 .6 .90 Best Players : Bedford, Cook, Collins, Bondw ck, Griffiths , Syke s Goalkickers : Griffiths 3, Roach 2, Smith, Bedford, Collins 1 eac h

Personafifty Pars 50 GAMES AT UNI BLACK S Roger Bade will celebrate his 50th game for Blacks this week against Fawkner . It has taken Roger nearly4% seasonsto reach this milestone, his early days with the Blacks being marred by injury and a!ove for windsurfing . Roger missed out on playing in the Reserves Grand Final side of 84 due to excessive senior appearances . 1986 will hopefully be a good season for Roger, his playboy lifestyle haveing been interrupted by mariage . His one wish for 1986 is to play his 50th game in the seniors and his form to date may see this come true . `✓Vell done Roger .

MILESTONES AT BLACK S Gary Wines will celebrate his 150th game for Blacks this week at the University Oval against St. Bernards . Gary began his career with the Blacks in the Juniors in 1977 . In 1978 he graduated to the seniors and has been playing regular senior football since . His career to date has been studded with many highlights including winning the inaugural Cordner Medal in 1981, Blacks Captain in '82 and vice captain in '83 . Gary is a great c! ubman and is well supported by his wife Leanne who has prepared many Saturday afternoon tea delights, and if you ask Leanne she will always tell you that all the Blacks great goals were started off by Winesy . - His four best supporters are Leanne, Brett, Kate and Leanne . Andy Rogers will also celebrate his 50th game for Blacks this week . Andy alias "Snows" began with the Blacks in 1983 . His career has been studded with may absences, some enforced, others unknown "Holidays" . snos was a member of the 1983 IV side, but his form has been far from consistent with only occasional senior appearances, none the less Snows is an intergral member of the Blacks even if he doesn't turn up to committee meetings . All of us down at Blacks wish both Winesyand Snows the best . Well done fellas!! ! 34

50 UP AT OLD TRINITY Congratulations from everyone at Old Trinit y to Andrew Allibon who plays his 50th game today. "Alli" has played all of his football in the senior side playing on the centre line and is now showing his versitility in both the centre half forward and centre half back positions . His creative runs and long kicking have become his trademark and deservingly earned him places in the C, D, & E State Side in 1985 and 1986, as well as the Club Best & Fairest in 1984 . With active support at all O .T's social functions with cheer squad in tow mnyare keenly awaiting his upcoming defence of his : :1985 Miss Trinity" crown at the next Talent Nigh Extravaganza . Well done Andrew .

50 UP AT O .M .F .C . All at ~ his 50th congratulate Birch o n reaching otherwise known as the "Quiet Achiever" has had a terrific season in the ruck so far in '86 . Although he doesn't say much on the field his great play brings other players into the game continually . Although off the field after a few drinks Birchy can become quite vocal . All the best Tony and we all hope there are many more games left for you to play yet .

"BROS" PLAYS HIS 50th FOR BALACLAVA Congratulations from players and supporter s at Balaclava to young veteran Anthony Breslin, who today plays his 50th game for the club against North Brunswick. Anthony started his career at Balaclava as a very skilful wingman with a ton of potential in 1984 . He went on to play an integral part in Balaclava's grand final win the same year . Anthony has gone on to play many fine games for Balaclava since, and he's working hard at improving the finer points of his game all the time . A strong, fast player who is a good mark for his size and an excellent kick to position, Anthony has all the attributes to make him a very valuable player for Balaclava for years to come . A popular character around the club, noted for his politely conservative fashion sense, Bros is a regular at all club functions whether there is petrol in his car or not . A major trophy winner for his exploits off the field last year, Bros features regularly in many an interesting story . Good luck today Anthony, we hope to see you pass many more milestones at Balac lava .

SOCCER REJECT REACHES FIFT Y Paul "Bean" Cliffe today plays his 50th senior game with F .I .T . After serving along apprenticeship in the "Twos" Paul has now abandoned all his real football (soccer?) skills and developed into a fine senior player. His game is now based around his strong overhead marking and long kicking with either foot . Off the field Bean can usually be found in a hotel that stays open until 7 a .m ., or loitering around Chinatown . He also believes that he is Strathmore's answer to Alan Jones . Well done Bean! !

FAWKNER : THANK YOU BLACKS Everyone at Fawkner would like to thank th e member of University Blacks' medical team who assisted our medicos to treat injured Fawkner player Andrew Brown . Thank you for your care, consideration and a job well done . Andrew was discharged from the Austin Spinal Unit with no serious after effects .

50 GAMES AT ELSTERNWICK Congratulations from all Elsternwick player s and supporters to Bob Grandemange who plays his 50th game today. Bob is an up and coming young player in the reserves . As a winger his pace and marking give the team great drive . A good clubman and a good contributor on the field, we wish Bob all the best for a long and successful career with Elsternwick .

In all the clubs within the V .A .F.A there are two lines of thought on State Games . However we wish the side all the best in S .A . We all like to see our clubs successful, but it is great for the players to have a chance to play for the V.A .F .A . and the Big "V" . Over recent years the V .A.F .A's use of lower grade players is to be congratulated . These players are worthy of the opportunities given them to be part of a V .A . F .A . squad . Brian Luger, Old Xaverian s

50 GAMES AT UNI BLACK S Belated congratulations to Roger Bade who celebrated his 50th game Iastweek aga i nst Fawkner in fine style . Playing on the half back flank Roger repelled many dangerous Fawkner attacks and was integral to the Blacks 5th victory this season . The game also satisfied a personal desire for Roger to play his 50th game in the seniors . Roger commenced with Blacks back in '82 and his love for windsurfing, liability to injury and recent marriage to Liz have all delayed this celebration . Well done Roger!!! ! MILESTONES AT WEST BRUSNWIC K All at West Brunswcik would like to congratulate Phil Leatham on playing his 150th game against Nth . Brunswick. Phil packs a great deal into his football and whilst not endowed with blitzing pace is able to maintain his momentum from start to finish, accumulating many possessions in the meantime . In 1985 Phil won the Reserve Best and Fairest award scoring votes in°14 of the 18 games indicating his dedication and consistency . Phil is prepared to plug away ~veek after week and this milestone is a great achievement for a player who puts in regardless of the obstacles . Well done Phil!!

PHONING OF DETAILS A SECTION BEFORE 5 .30 P.M. B SECTION 6 P.M. TO 6 .30 P.M. Mr. GEORGE McTAGGART at 528 3319 A SECTION - NOTE EARLIER DEADLINE Today Dean Lampard plays his 100th game for the club . Dean has improved as a footballer in every game that he has played because he is always prepared to have a go at everything and keep on trying regardless of the odds . Dean plays in many positions where his marking skill and willingness to dive on the ball and pass it on to a teammate come to the forefront . Often put on the opposition's key player to nullify their effectiveness, Dean turns defence into attack time and time again providing great drive for the team . Well done Dean and all at West hope to see a lot more football from a true champion .
