Incident cuts Old Camberwell-Ormond clash short

It was a worrying end to the match between Old Camberwell and Ormond last Saturday, cut short mid-way through the third term due to a serious injury to Ormond player Josh Levine. Thankfully, he has since been given the all-clear and returned home from hospital – where he’s pictured here giving the thumbs up. Ormond President Richard Simon said he “couldn’t be more proud of the commitment to Josh from the senior players and staff that they wouldn’t leave the ground until Josh does, and then to see a dozen or so in the social rooms afterwards to meet our commitment and respect to opposition team - always Ormond!”
Old Trinity and St Bedes/Mentone stand united with VAFA Umpires

Both Old Trinity and St. Bede’s Mentone Tigers lined up before last week’s senior game to walk out together with the Umpires in a show of respect and unity for the work that the VAFA umpires do every weekend. Both clubs acknowledge their great contribution to the game and will not condone any anti-social behaviour towards the Umpires. We stand united with them.
