PRIMAL AND POLISHED
Society has various emotional, social and biological disturbances They want a change They want to live the primary level of life They have their own community… self-sustainable… They are educated, have access to technology for everything but Still they want to farm their own lands… Want to eat healthy, fresh, vegan… straight from their own farms… Money can buy those houses in high rise buildings, but they prefer selfmade homes in some untouched areas… They have freed themselves from social obligations…. They make best possible use of whatever is given to them by the mother… the mother Nature. Nature has become their best inspiration… Lifestyle, accessories, adornment and everything else is taken from the surroundings…
SUSPEND THE FLARE The outermost panel is a bleached striped woven structure continued till the back. The next panel in the front, towards the inseam, is a hand sanded fabric achieved with a underlay of sharp stones. This flared, ankle length bifurcated silhouette is enhanced with patched pockets, a pair of suspenders, hand-stitches and tassels at the hem.
JEANS TO SKIRT A basic five pocket denim is cut horizontally from lower hip level to make it into a skirt. From a basic jeans, legs are cut opened from side seam and are attached to the lower hip level to form seam less sides of a skirt. Washed striped woven fabric is enhanced with hand stitches and tassels and added to the center of the silhouette.
MAKE IT LOW A woven striped fabric is bleached and added to a basic jeans to make it a low crotch one. The thigh, knee and calf area is hand sanded over irregular concrete base to give a twist to a regular dyed indigo jeans. Oversized pockets are patched in front as well as back. The ankle is enhanced with eyelets and drawstring for a dramatic yet stylish tie-up look.
CUT TO CULOTTES Jeans is horizontally cut barely 2 cm down from crotch. An indigo denim, hand sanded over a tree bark is pleated and attached for seamless sides and continued to the back. From the back, a striped woven denim structure continues to front to form a seamless inseam. The garment is mildly bleached for a worn-out look.
WRAP IT AROUND The garment stands out because of different indigo toned denim patched together strategically. The front side seam of a denim is cut away from the back part. Hand sanded over tree trunk, two indigo patched panels are stitched to the front on either sides. Similar panels are attached to the back. The waistband in the front is extended from the sides to be fastened with buttons at the back first and then the back panel is passed to the backside through the crotch of the wearer and tied to the front with the strings attached at the waist.
