The materio collection is all about Textures. Since the beginning of time, natural materials have fascinated Mankind. Pieces of leather protected him from the wind and storms, while the processing of fur and wool helped Man to survive the harsh winters. The use of wood and later on stone allowed him to construct shelters. Today, these natural, tangible materials awaken longforgotten emotions, even becoming representatives of fashion, icons in their own right, an art of living close to our roots. Leather whishes to be tanned, braided Cordoba style, or hidden in a patchwork design reminiscent of the American West. Its colouring is natural or weathered. Tawny, white or metallic. The wood effects seem more real than nature itself, rich or with patina effect, originating from different species. The mosaics of ancient sites are represented in a soft, distinctive way. From lace created using methods passed on by one generation to the next to the large stitches of Irish knitting, and furthermore the trendier squares. In the Materio collection all designs are pure, substantial and true. This is wallpaper reinvented, and the reintroduction of nature into our daily lives.
