7 Secrets to Making Money Blogging-Part 1

If you want to know how to really make money blogging, then you have come to the right place! This is part1 of a 2part series where I’m going to cover with you the 7 key secrets you need to know to make money online as a blogger!

#1: Focus on building a List The #1 secret to making money as a blogger is to focus on building your list! People assume that once you create a blog, the people will find you but that doesn’t necessarily ring true here! The content you create will be a huge determining factor to them finding you, but when they do, you have to do what you can to get them to stay!

In order to successfully build your list as a blogger, you want to have some type of free offer, or a “bribe” that encourages them to opt in to your list in exchange for something free. If you don’t know what to give them, the quick and easy way to solve this problem is to buy a PLR Ebook on sites like Write4You PLR Store, customize it with your name and website and voila.. You have an offer!

You’ll also want to be strategic in where you place your opt-in forms. Get creative and find ways to add an opt-in offer in your posts that are relevant to whatever it is that you’re giving them for free. That way, you have them already focused on an area of interest, so when it comes time to get them to opt in, they’re already sold!

#2: Provide valuable content in your blog There are so many blogs out there, but if you fail to create one of value, you’ll get buried underneath all the noise that already exists. High quality content is the key to winning your audience over, and if you take time creating posts that are well thought out and go into great detail about that subject matter, then your readers will keep coming back for more.

Look at every blog post as if it was for yourself. When you go out googling different topics, what do you look for when sifting through the search results? What kinds of blog posts grab your attention? What kind of information impresses you, and makes you stick around on that site?

Factor these same ideas when creating your own blogging content and you’ll quickly earn the trust of your audience, which will allow you to convert more of your readers into sales!

#3: Think long term The most successful bloggers earning the big bucks have been around for a while and have been very consistent in their blogging. To avoid burnout, I’d recommend not coming in trying to do too much too soon, but set up a practical schedule where you know you can deliver and be consistent in your actions.

For example, if you want to earn an income from promoting a certain product that you’re doing a review on, maybe only post one blog post per week, but go in depth with it as much as possible.

You can potentially shoot videos about that product, you can do the blog post review and then spend the rest of the week marketing that post. In order to attract customers who will buy from you, they want to see consistency. If you create a schedule that you know you can maintain, you’ll easily win them over, and get them to keep coming back for more!

#4: Set up a Resources Page Having a resources page is the “quick and easy” way to convert sales. People are always wondering what tools are the best tools that they can use, and where to find them. A resources page is best when it’s broken down into categories. So for example, if you’re focusing on internet marketing and blogging on your page, you may break your resources down to the following pages:

Email / List Building Tools:

Screen-capture Tools: Social Media Tools:

These are just examples, but the more segmented your resources are, the easier you’re making it for the reader to find what they need so that they can easily click a link and purchase!
