It promotes work mostly from up and coming emerging artists, designers and creative professionals. Profile on Greenwich The Royal Borough of Greenwich is a district located on South East London. It is mainly recognized for being the home of the O2 Arena, Cutty Sark, The National Maritime Museum, Greenwich Park and the Greenwich Meridian Time Line. It is promoted as a hip, new, up and coming “Design District” by colourful posters all around, and is filled with outdoor seating which makes the area feel a lot friendlier and more engaging. As mentioned before, one of the most popular attractions in the area is the O2 Arena, which hosts multiple concerts constantly and has an outlet and a few restaurants inside. Surrounding the O2 are multiple chain restaurants, offices, and Ravensbourne University, which is recognized for its creative careers. Other activities in the area include: The Emirates Air Line, The Cutty Sark, The Planetarium, Greenwich Market and Greenwich Park. The area isn’t very easily accessible, as the only way to get there is by using the DLR, Jubilee Line or by Southeastern train from London Bridge and Cannon Street, if you wish to arrive by train. Additionally, you can travel by riverboat from Westminster, Embankment, London Bridge City, Canary Wharf and Tower Piers. It has many new residential buildings and others under construction, but at the moment it appears to be mostly populated by offices and commercial venues. (Visit Greenwich, 2019) Royal Borough of Greenwich Demographics According to the Royal Borough of Greenwich Ward Profiles: 2011 Census Data produced by Sustainability, Renewal and Facilities, the neighbourhood is populated by a total of approximately 254,557 people, 49.6% of them male and 50.4% female residents. The largest age range of people living in the area is 20-44 years old, forming 42.3% of the total number of residents, from which only 2,542 residents are listed as students. Additionally, the largest percentage of people over the age of 16 who are listed in the Marital & Civil Partnership Status census are single, totaling a 43.4%, followed by the married residents totalling 38.9%.

The aforementioned statement is also evidenced by the “Household Composition” data, which presents one person households of people under 65 years old as 22.7% of the total, followed by 18.5% formed by married couples with children as the second highest percentage. Finally, 70.7% of the total residents of the Royal Borough of Greenwich were listed as economically active. (Royal Greenwich Sustainability, Renewal and Facilities, 2011)

WGSN (2016)
According to the “Email Marketing To Millennials” Report, in order to target the right millennial audience the email newsletter should be especially designed to fit mobile devices in order to make them easy to read on the go.
WGSN (2016)
These should also include engaging visuals along with a brand aligned tone of voice.
It is located close to North Greenwich station, which provides easy access to the area from Central London and other connected areas. The area is full of commercial restaurants and cafes, and is home to the O2 Stadium, Emirates Air Line, Cutty Sark and Greenwich Meridian Time, attracting more public to Greenwich. NOW Gallery presents exhibitions with new exciting artists. It has a contemporary, aesthetically pleasing architectural design. New buildings bringing in young individuals and families into the area, building a larger community around the gallery. Weaknesses Small exhibitions make it hard for people living in other areas to visit as the trip there is longer than the actual visit. Lack of communication via newsletter subscription. Small amount of followers on social media platforms. Lack of relationship with community surrounding the gallery, such as with Ravensbourne students. Opportunities Greenwich Peninsula is being promoted as the new design district, which NOW Gallery can take advantage of as it is currently the only gallery in the area. It is located near Ravensbourne University, which is one of the top art and design universities, providing opportunity to relate and communicate with a wider young audience.
Dickinson, Chiquoine (2018)
In the “London May 2018: VM Inspiration” Report, NOW Gallery is mentioned as the place for celebrating rising talent.
Located at new, upcoming neighbourhood. Should take advantage of initial recognition as the hub for rising designers and creatives. Courses and workshops hosted at gallery space. Interesting and eye-catching newsletter and social media to create bigger online community. Threats Other galleries also showcasing up and coming artists in bigger spaces where visitors can spend more time during the visit. Competitors have community spaces other than gallery space, such as cafes/bars, bookshops and gardens.
