Curator’s Corner

Dear Members and Friends of the Garden,

Let's never forget that working together makes a better world possible! Remember, friends, to adopt an earth-friendly lifestyle in your daily activities, be aware of your area's environmental issues, and become part of the solution. If you live in Vallarta, you know the threats to our beloved Bay of Banderas region. Nothing is more important than clean air and water; life cannot be enjoyed without good health, and it's all connected!

Here in Puerto Vallarta, please join other residents who are working for a better world on the local scene by joining the PV Garden Club, whose mission is to create a more charming city with beautification projects like planting flowers and trees and, most recently, a complete transformation of the Cuale Island into an urban oasis. Get involved by contacting the PVGarden Club at www.vallartagardenclub.com. It's lots of fun; everyone is invited to join and help beautify Vallarta.

Recently, at the Botanical Garden, we've been busy as bees planting new varieties of waterlilies, changing the annual flower beds with new selections of Mexicanspecies zinnias, and enjoying the wild trees blooming on the mountainsides. Our work never ends, but it's a labor of love, and we truly hope you come to visit us soon!

With much appreciation from the Garden,

Robert Price Founder and Curator, Vallarta Botanical Garden
