Misericordiae Vultus
Be in the world, a sign of love!
+
Mercy is the ultimate and supreme act of God embracing us.
What is mercy?
+
What is mercy? Mercy is the fundamental law that dwells in the heart of each person when they look with sincere eyes at their brother or sister whom they encounter on their journey.
+
What is mercy?
Mercy is the way that God unites with humans because it opens the heart to the hope of being loved forever.
+
Before the gravity of sin, God responds with abundant forgiveness.
Mercy is always bigger than any sin and nobody can put a limit on the love of God which forgives. #3
+
Mercy = The Kingdom of God which is already present among us #5
+
The Mercy of God is not an abstract idea, but rather a concrete reality through which God reveals his love. #6
+ Eternal is his Mercy – PSalm 136
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good
because his mercy endures forever the only one who makes great wonders
because his mercy endures forever the one who through wisdom made the heavens
because his mercy endures forever the one who separated the earth from the waters
because his mercy endures forever
What do you give thanks for today ?
+ Jesus doesn’t limit his love to words, but rather makes is visible and tangible. Love, after all, can never be an abstract word. #9
+
Be more merciful towards others.

Give Food to the Hungry. Daily malnutrition is a less visible form of hunger, but it affects many more people, from cities to small towns‌ hunger is much more than an empty stomach. (World Food Program).
Society should interact in a responsible and harmonious way with the Earth and all of its resources. One must support a politics of sustainable agriculture, remembering that to eat is a moral act (Laudato Si).
+
Give Food to the Hungry.
We currently respond to the problems of malnutrition in children through nutrition programs as well as instruction of topics like raising chickens and pigs, fish, cultivating rice and soy beans, etc.

Give drink to the thirsty Water is a basic, fundamental, human right. The lack of water or its contamination put in grave danger the lives of millions of people condemned to poverty, sickness, lack of food, and even death. (Laudato Si)
We have to care for it like something sacred and fight for all to have access.
+
Give drink to the thirsty
Our work is informed by responding to the call of God to integrate faith, ecology, and the world economy. We create an ethic of caring for the creation of God.

Clothe the Naked. Through deforestation our planet is ridding itself of trees and vegetation is being left naked. The forests are the lungs of the earth and we have to protect them. (Laudato Si)
We have to clothe the earth by planting trees and caring for green areas.
+
Clothe the Naked. We train women and men in skills that allow them to produce products of high quality that respect the earth and can be commercialized and sold, allowing them to support their families and earn some financial stability.

Welcome the stranger. Environmental degradation has created a new category of migrants: the environmentally displaced. Today, 9 out of 10 natural disasters is connected to the climate, and according to the Red Cross its impact on the population is five times greater than the number of people affected by armed conflict in the world. (Laudato Si)
We need to continue working together in solidarity to eliminate oppressive laws and structures which imprison the same life of this planet and displace the people of their lands.
+
Welcome the stranger We welcome migrants, immigrants, and refugees providing them with the needed skills and support to create better lives for themselves and their families.

Care for the Sick Illness continues to spread with greater intensity through climate change, opening the doors to disease spread by water, malaria, dengue, and malnutrition. Plants and other animals also suffer under the heavy use of pesticides and the ecological imbalance from industrialized agriculture. (Laudato Si).
We should fight for adequate sanitary care as a human right.
+
Care for the Sick Our Health Ministry is formed by hospitals, hospices, clinics, and community health programs.
+
Visit the Imprisoned There are currently many people who are imprisoned around the world for defending their land and protesting the privatization of natural resources like water ‌
What kind of a world do we want to leave those who come after us, to the children growing up? This question doesn’t just affect the
environment in an isolated manner. When we ask ourselves about the world we want to leave behind, we understand above all its general orientation, its feeling, its values. If this question does not arise out of
our depths, I don’t think our ecological concerns will have much impact. (Laudato Si)
+
Visit the Imprisoned “We should be afraid of the repressive State, of the unjust system that isn’t able to break the vicious cycle of victims and victimizers”. Sister Aracely Uranga, CCVI

Burry the Dead Each year more and more people die from the natural disasters caused by climate change. Thousands of species or plants and animals also disappear due to the commercial activity and production that is destroying rainforests and forests. (Cfr. Laudato Si)
The invitation to be missionaries is an invitation to leave one’s comfort zone and discover a church committed to what is happening around us, committed to the social struggles for justice, a church inserted into the life of the community, of the world and its reality.
+
Burry the Dead Through our Hospice and other organizations, we accompany the families and patients with terminal illness, giving them loving, compassionate attention at the end of their life to honor their human dignity.
+
Biblical Text: Luke 15:11-32
Reflect on your relationship with God in light of the environmental crisis.
+
Like the prodigal son, how have you wasted or misused the goods that God has given you through the Earth?
+
Humanity still has the capacity to work together to care for our common home.

+
What changes can we make in our way of living, in our work, or our consumer habits in order to better care for creation and one another?
+
May the word of forgiveness reach everyone and the call to live mercy not leave anyone indifferent #19
+ That the claim of following the law does not prevent attention to the needs that impact the dignity of people. Â Â #20
+ From the heart of the Trinity, from the deepest most intimate mystery of God, flows without end
the great river of Mercy.
never dry up,
This source will no matter how many come to drink of its waters. Anytime that someone is in need, they can come because the
mercy of God is without end.
