Patterned Trees Annabelle, 3rd Grade
Dear VCS Community, Thank you for attending today’s exhilarating performance of In This World Together. Our students are beyond excited to share their musical talents and acting abilities here amid the beautiful environs of Gilroy Gardens. Today’s concert reminds us that in times of fear and uncertainty, we are all still able to unite and inspire hope for the world we share. The songs all possess a theme that we are not alone in this world and that, with God’s help, we can change the world for the better through love and acceptance for all of God’s children. It has been a challenging year for all as we take steps to recover from the pandemic’s isolation. And, as we adults struggle to embrace our “new normal,” we perhaps need to look no further than today’s performers. They are joyfully supporting each other through their friendship and love of music. This performance is an accumulation of their hard work and camaraderie. They are performing to inspire others to come together and make a difference in the world. Our performers have decided to put their songs into action and help others who may need a little bit of hope. They will be doing so by collecting items to help our community. This donation drive has primarily been student-led, inspired by the music they are performing today. This affirms you are raising them right! Here are some of the donations that the students would like to collect: • Canned and boxed food items for the Second Harvest Food Bank • New kids pajamas to be distributed by CityTeam • New toys for the Campbell Community Toy Program You may drop off your donation at Valley Christian Elementary School during pick-up time from May 16 – 20. 5th graders will be on hand to receive your gift. Thank you for giving with your heart and doing good, because as you know, we are In This World Together. Sincerely, Troy Gunter VP/Director of K-12 Conservatory of the Arts
