Collage and gouache together form a vibrant duo of expressive colour exploration and the thrill of cut paper. Gouache is an opaque water-based paint favoured by many contemporary artists who appreciate its lush saturated colour and ease of use. While images and information swirl around us, collage offers a perfect medium for our time. Emphasis in this course is on gaining an understanding the characteristics and limitations of both gouache and collage while creating dynamic pieces with a focus on colour, composition and personal expression.
