One of the most exciting things about starting university is a chance to live somewhere new. It’s exciting, but it can also be a lot to think about and plan for. VIU’s campus residences bring new experiences with less organizing and planning. You will also be surrounded by a community of like-minded students with instant access to great weekend activities and a long list of fun events in residence, around campus and throughout the region.

Each area has a dedicated Community Leader who is a current VIU student and has lived in residence previously. They provide guidance, advice and support to students in their area, making the transition from home to university easier.

Room options Residence has many different room options, all with a vibrant mix of students from around the world. The Traditional or Modern buildings are great places to start your university experience. VIU offers Traditional Single, Modern Single and Modern Double occupancy. All three room styles have a semi-private bathroom shared with students of the same gender. Visit viu.ca/residence for more information.

First Year Guarantee VIU guarantees a space in residence for all first year students. Apply by May 1st, 2019 in order to qualify for the first year guarantee.
