The life of a construction worker is faught with unpredictability, and this has made them extremely susceptible throughout their working careers. The absurdity of the situation is that the people who build our ideal homes actually live in appalling poverty themselves.Theyhavebeenlookingforawaytolivethatisbothdignifiedandfulfilling.Theyarealwaysgoi of a transient existence. Acceptance of prejudice on a cultural and societal level is the core problem os this situation. This yellow cap community is a group of people who have not been heard from or seen. Even though the construction industry is one of the mostimportantjobcreatorsinIndia,workersinthefieldarestillsufferingfromaneedforimproved even more light on their way of life and the issue at hand, the ultimate consequence of this, as well as the answer to it, is the launch of “THE YELLOW CAP PROJECT.”

Construction o w rkers live a life of uncertainties. These o w rkers hae v no idea where they will be o w rking or staying and for how long they will be staying. Depending on the location and the size of the project, the associate building company makes the shelter for the o w rkers on or off the site. These shelters are vulnerable to harsh e w ather conditions in summer and monsoon.

MIGRANT WORKERS

Migrant o w rkers are the part of India’s unorganized informal o w rk force, which is estimated to number over 350 million people. As o w -rk ers of the city, they remain excluded from basic services and rights.On-site colonies are just a mere representation of shanties created by the The lack of recognition in the society has made them invisible. o w rkers themselves with the help of locally available material. The programme was to design an informal recreational center (club) in Ahmedabad. It includes activities like indoor games, swimming area, café, gym and spa. ‘ BHUVANA ‘ a peaceful recreational center where nature m Relax, rebalance and rejuvenate are the three primary user experiences of this space. The club focuses on all age groups. Connectivity through green pockets is the key element of the space in such a way that each internal space has a view and an open breathing space.
