Full sisters that are royally bred! Charisma females have a proven track record of winning at all levels. They are also proving their diversity and value at mating time.
1A
Soundness is such a critical trait sought after at all levels of competition. 887F will satisfy the most critical of judges. There’s power in the pedigree of this Lot 1A and 1B offering. An added bonus this offering is suitable for a beginner showman.
1B
831F was my favorite from the spring-born heifers. She hadn’t been for sale because I kept thinking Payton would want to show her, but his interests lie elsewhere. So Oklahoma bound she is! A great opportunity to hook onto a competitive show heifer and who will develop into a donor.

L ot 3
Charm 7102 was one of the most admired females of the season. Amassing championship honors at the Junior National, Ohio and Kentucky State Fairs, National Western and winning the national championship of the NAILE Junior Show. Many remember her dam when she was Reserve National Champion in 2007, and also her great grandmother, LF Lucky Charm, the 1993 National Champion. This Evolution daughter blows you away with her massive hip and bone, and an extremely bold rib shape. Yet, she keeps an attractive extended front end. She is due to calve April 29. We are offering a flush with a guarantee of 6 transferrable embryos. Buyer pays flush cost and provides semen from any bull they choose. If you want high end breed genetics backed by a proven cow family don’t miss this opportunity. The sky is the limit here!

Lot 5, Brooklyn’s Lady, has a perfect roan color pattern! She’s as sound as they come and her hair coat is very good. My 11-year-old daughter has shown her three times, so she’s gentle and ready to roll – now! The Lady Crystal family is a favorite at Bailey Cattle Co., as you can tell. All three of our heifers stem from the same line as the proven Crystals that Sullivan Farms has made famous. Lot 6, Cool Breeze, is pretty neat! She’s solid white and has a lot of hair! We struggled getting photos this year due to crazy weather, so consider this shot just a hint of what you’ll see on sale day! You can see her dam on page 5. Lot 6 is stout with a long, thin neck and she moves like a cat!

“Eve 903” is a granddaughter of SS Augusta Pride 2101 that Ben bought from the Schrags to be the foundation Augusta Pride for our herd. 2101 certainly fulfilled our expectations, as we have more of her progeny currently in our herd than any other cow. 692 is one of three Red Stallion x 2101 ET daughters that we have retained. Lot 19A was shown by Rachel Drum of Kentucky and stood second in class at NAILE. An Evolution daughter bred to 2016 National Western Reserve Grand Champion Ultimate Reward, 903 is the foundation Augusta Pride you’ve always hoped to find! Swagger daughter “992” is the maternal sister to the bred heifer above. Cory Schrag has stated, “The Augusta Pride cow family is one of the most dominant cow families in the breed.” The proof of his belief is walking around in herd, after herd, after herd of Shorthorns all over this country. This heifer is stout, yet feminine, with show ring style – exactly what you’d expect from an Augusta Pride! Herd builder!

SCHRAG 605’s 3 Premier Donors mated to Aviator
Miss ing Mira ge
With her 2018 calf crop, Missing Mirage 2120 solidified herself as one of the premier donors in the country. We love the Aviator x 2120 mating and believe the heifers it has produced have as much upside potential as any heifer calf ever born in Marion. Lot 1 of the 2018 Revival is a standout, and racking up wins. Lot 1 in our 2018 fall sale is just plain good, no fancy words needed. You can make your own Lot 1 with the 21A embryos!
Max R osa
What separates our donor, CYT Max CY Rosa 1110, is that she combines the patented Max Rosa look and quality with sheer power and skeletal width. Not an easy combination to find and we love how she passes on those attributes to her offspring. We only had one 1110 x Aviator born in 2018, but, believe me, she won’t be the last! Cates Farms purchased full sib embryos in 2017, and there’s no doubt you will hear about that resulting calf next year.
Myrt le B o
Myrtle Bo 9154, nicknamed “Sunday,” has been produced one of our top sellers the last six years running. Some of her daughters: Marie, Monday, 248, 489, Memphis and 2017 co-high seller at $20,500, Mercedes. She will no doubt go down in history as one of our best producing females – she has 56 progeny registered and produced over 80 embryos in spring 2017 alone!

WHR RHS TEN QUEENS 942 ET – Donor Dam of Lot 25 2015 Houston Stock Show Champion Female
We purchased WHR RHS Ten Queens 942 from Bill Rasor in 2013. Along with winning champion honors at Houston, she was 2014-15 South Central Regional Show Heifer of the Year, and ASA All American Honoree in 2013-14. From a flush of 942 to Low Rider, WHR sold a daughter for $30,000 and a son for $10,000 and has since used her offspring to promote his herd sire (who sold to WHR through the Revival Sale!). We believe the JS Michelle genetics infused through the great Low Rider son, Continental Divide, have created a mating that is truly “next level.” 16

EASTERN SKY R-C DZ SARAH ET – Donor Dam of Lot 26
RFSS ROAN SIS – Daughter of RFSS Rambo
The dam of the Lot 26 heifer embryo package was featured in last year’s Springtime Revival. She’s a direct descendant of the celebrated Nobody’s Fool foundation females, Fool 387 and Dazzle Fool 8105 (see them in last year’s catalog on page 21). The consistent influence of these two females still flows through the success of the modern Fool females produced at Cates Farms. The sire of this mating is Respite Farms herd sire (flip back to page 15) who presents a another “shot” of Desert Rose on top of Sarah’s Bloodstone genetics. Yep, this is how the master breeders do it!

SHARBEN DEMI – Donor Dam of Lot 27
RFC-KOLT Demi’s Diva 105 ET – Dam of “Demi Delight” 2013 AJSA Show Heifer of the Year
Christened “Demi Delight” by her many fans, SharBen Demi was a feature of the Greenhorn sale. Alan K. Sears commented “Wow! She might be the best heifer ever sold here.” That wasn’t considered hype by a salesman because she’s the daughter of the extraordinary Show Heifer of the Year, Demi’s Diva. The heifer that will result from Demi Delight’s mating to Hot Commodity has a LOT going for her....and she’s not even on the ground yet! Snap her up! 17
I asked Steve about consigning a December calf to the Springtime Revival, but I didn’t know how to sell one that young. We had about 70% bull calves this fall. Thus, we are very short on females. And the best two came late. Steve suggested leaving Lots 28A and 28B on their dams to display at the sale, offering choice, and allowing the buyer to make the decision whether to wean sale day, or keep the heifer at our ranch with her dam until weaning. I thought it was a great idea – that kind of resourceful thinking explains why Steve’s such a good marketer and the Revival is such a great sale!

Shannon Marie is an Irish cow family that has produced success for Kohlstaedt Farms in Missouri. We purchased K’s Marie 780 in 2017 from the family’s herd dispersal because Jeff Aegerter told us she was the best cow in the sale. She is doing a heck of a job raising her heifer as an 11-year-old cow with an ideal udder and nice disposition. Lot 28A is the spitting image of her dam: rocket-fronted, deep bodied and smooth moving. She is flat good and has a fantastic, and long, future ahead of her just like her dam. We are excited about this Fire Storm daughter and sure wouldn’t mind taking her home. 18

Don’t let the unfamiliar pedigree of this ShorthornPlus heifer make you turn the page. This female is built for the show ring, and bred to raise crossbred show steers and heifers. You’re gonna like her when you see her at the sale!

His dam is a valued member of our donor roster whose daughter topped our 2015 sale at $40,000. The popularity of ShorthornPlus cattle is on the rise, and “guys” like Fall Guy are one of the reasons why. Heterosis is the easiest way to add performance to your operation. Crossbred cattle excel over their purebred Gain the counterparts for fertility, longevity, and performance. Using Shorthorn in a crossbreeding program results in true heterosis due to the lack of Shorthorn genetics in America’s cow herd today. Here’s a tip! A Shorthorn Advantages of 100% used on the popular Black Baldie female will produce true British heterosis – that means you will gain the British Heterosis bull advantages of all the assets of the three British breeds, and reap an added $150 per cow, per year for 10 years!

Two GREAT Champions – sons of NBS Low Rider! 22
Daughter of Lot 35 Herd Sire
We purchased Lot 35 from WHR Shorthorns in Texas. This Low Rider son has produced great calves for us (see the photos at left). Since we have a small herd and are retaining his daughters to build our program we need to “move forward” in the sire department. “Goalie” has a gentle disposition and has fulfilled all our breeding “goals.” We feel sure he can do the same for you!
If we can help you in any way – before or after the sale – call or text Steve French at 989-798-8223. We want you to be successful with your Springtime Revival purchase! PREGNANCY INSURANCE • The Revival suggests that buyers of pregnancy lots invest in pregnancy insurance. The policy covers a live birth and the first 49 days of life at the cost of 15% of the purchase price. Buyers should notify Hugh F. Miller Insurance, Harding & Harding agent, on sale day or by phone at 815-626-1300 by April 22, 2019. REVIVAL BUYER/SELLER AGREEMENTS • For all lots in which future fulfillment is a factor (ie. flushes, retained rights and retained percentage ownership), the Revival provides a written agreement between seller and buyer. Prepared by an attorney, these agreements document the original sale terms in case of a dispute. Both parties will sign, and will be provided a copy. The original, signed agreement is filed by the Revival. REVIVAL EMBRYO PACKAGES & IVF STATUS • Proper settlement must be made in order for embryos to be released. Shipping arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Embryo packages labeled as IVF require an advanced standard of technical expertise for implantation – attention to this detail is necessary!
DNA GENOTYPING & GENETIC TESTING • A DNA genotype is utilized in establishing parentage and in determining the presence of a genetic condition. Animals do not have to be DNA genotyped or free of a genetic condition to be registered. If an animal becomes an A.I. sire or a donor dam, all required genetic testing must be completed and a DNA record must be on file with ASA prior to registering any progeny. Recognized genetic conditions that require DNA testing are thoroughly explained on the ASA web site: www.shorthorn. org. Genetic conditions “free” (F) and “carrier” (C) that have been reported to the ASA are continually updated on the website. Buyers are urged to consult the ASA web site for the most up-to-date list of test results for all genetic conditions. Genetic conditions of individuals and donors, as known at press time, are noted within the pedigrees of individual animals. If genetic testing of sale animals is in progress, test results will be reported on the sale update.
Remember, making a purchase in the Springtime Revival creates the eligibility to consign to future sales. Contact Steve French by May 1 to discuss potential lots for “The Revival” in Michigan on the 4th Saturday, September 28, 2019.

RFC STRATUS 235 – Dam of Lot 39 2013 Tulsa State Fair Junior Show Reserve Champion
The dam of Lot 39 was Reserve Champion at Tulsa State Fair and Division Champion at the Oklahoma Youth Expo. “Cool Allie” is long-sided, long-fronted and elegant when she travels. Her color pattern will always make her extremely attractive from the side view. Her sire is an Aviator son we purchased in the 2016 Springtime Revival. Her dam stems from the Sybils who are descendants of the dam of “Reno,” NPS Mattis 530, an own daughter of Ka’Ba Rose T90.

SPARTAN VALLEY HOLLIE 11219 – Lot 40A JCC HOLLIE CM – Lot 40
What a producer this young Country Music daughter is! We purchased her from the Freed family three years ago, and she has produced good ones and milked her heart out since we’ve had her on our place. She is one that I have a really hard time letting go, especially with the incredible heifer calf she has at side. In our first year consigning to the Revival we wanted to bring a female with the “wow factor” about her. Here is a three-in-one package – VALUE!

The only reason for selling Lot 41 is that her first two calves were retained for replacement females in our herd. I think that speaks volumes about what kind of producer she is. She is everything you look for in a cow – ample framed, extremely stylish-fronted, exceptional rib shape and depth of body. She was bred to the American Royal Reserve Junior Yearling Champion, Hot Shot, on 3-5-19.

Lot 42 originated in the Studer herd in Iowa where Primroses have been a consistent contributor. We purchased her as an open heifer. She has produced a super nice heifer calf, and her last calf is a bull that we are developing to sell as a herd sire prospect. She has a beautiful udder and milks very well. Her structural makeup is excellent. Her WW and YW EPD’s are excellent. Buy with confidence you are getting a true herd builder. Primrose 25B’s service sire, JCC The Heat, was South Central Region Show Bull of the Year in 2015-2016, a Hot Commodity son we know will produce an amazing calf. 26

PROSPECT
I was asking around among Revival consignors to source a couple of truly great donors for the growing market of Shorthorn breeders in the Southwest, when I realized I needed to listen to my own sales pitch. We are offering Mona Lisa Dazzler in the Springtime Revival as a sale attraction! She is a fertile female that flushes well, and breeds dependably AI. I can’t wait for you to see the late October natural bull calf she weaned off – he is stout and good. She produced the Junior National Bred & Owned Grand Champion for Hannah Winegardner, and many other show winners. Crow Creek Farms owns her daughter by Charisma. Mona Lisa keeps proving she can get the job done. Flip to page 31 to see her service sire’s pedigree. The “double shot” of Mona Lisa in this mating is gonna produce a great one! If you’re in the market for a herd sire prospect, Mona Lisa’s fall bull calf by Final 4 should be seriously considered. It’s been 4 months of nothin’ but “Pure Michigan” so taking a photo of him was just not a feasible project. Most all sale consignors had the same situation this year. Be assured, you’re gonna like Lot 45A when you see him in the “Oklahoma latitude.”

Hereford Features
L ot 49
We want to kick off the Hereford presence at the Springtime Revival by offering a really good one. This mating was sure to hit, sired by Catapult 109 and out of a full sister to Kahuna and Purple Womanizer. This may be the first daughter we have sold out of Purple Gem as we built our Hereford herd around her and her daughters. They are a cornerstone of our Hereford gene pool.
L ot 50
There has never been a mating at Weeping Fox that has consistently sent more cattle to the backdrop than this one. Not in our Shorthorns, not in our Herefords. NEVER! This summer-born prospect is the first step on your road to the championship backdrop!
