Trick or Treat for By: Vanessa Mendoza
We have just placed an order for boxes. Boxes for what you say? Boxes for Trick - or - Treat for UNICEF! That's what. UNICEF stands for United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund or United Nations Children's Fund. UNICEF is a United States non - profit organization that helps save the lives of children and women all over the world. UNICEF along with the help of many organizations like Kiwanis International help improve children's lives, providing health care, immunizations, clean water, sanitation, nutrition, education, and emergency relief. They are currently working on the Eliminate Project to help eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus, which ends the lives of thousands of babies and women. Arleta High School’s Key Club has decided to help with this cause by ordering 100 boxes which will be handed out to our members the 22nd of October.

Pay your Dues!!! By: Vanessa Mendoza
Arleta High School Key Clubbers!!!!!!!! Pay your membership dues!!!!! Remember after Tuesday, October 8, 2013 we will be charging $17 not $15. If you have not paid your dues yet, Tuesday is your last chance to do so. You can pay before or during lunch on Tuesday and then just bring your receipt after school to the meeting. If you don’t pay your dues by the end of the year, you will not get college credit.

The Stacey Baker scholarship picnic fundraises money for the Stacey Baker scholarship, which is granted for college students. You had to attend Beachy Ave. Elementary in order to be eligible and apply. What Arleta High School’s Key Club is doing this year is volunteering to help set up & help with each activity or games they have at the picnic. We help little kids get tattoos, make brackets, paint, and help them play the games they have there. There are going to be about 50 members volunteering this event and anybody is welcomed to come and enjoy the event.
