Projection Mappings Vanessa Vassallo

Projection 1

This projection was created by Sony. They transformed two building into giant football-themed pinball machine in the capital city of Spain, Madrid May 2010. In my opinion I think that it is very creative the way they combined two seperate games in one. There was a part where the ball looked as if it was coming at you. It looked real and even the colour scheme matched each and every part of the whole animation. In my opinion, I’d rather watch a themed projection like this instead of a projection that would contain various types of characters and colours that do not make sense at all.

Projection 2

This projection took place in Australia Sydney. A particular building was chosen to give a spectacular show by Mattel. The chosen theme was “Hot Wheels Skull Racers. In my opinion I think it was very creative and innovaitve to change something so popular, Hot Wheels, into skull racing on a projection mapping. I also liked the fact that they made use of two important elements, water and fire. They both looked real. I chose this because once again, I liked the fact that they sticked to a themed projection and changed it in a creative way.

Projection 3

This projection took place on the Kharkov State building in Ukraine. This was a bit different from the above two mentioned earlier. This was abit of a mixture. The thing that I liked most is that they made use of natural elements. For example flowers, birds, fish and many more. They also added some fireworks, which I believe we should add some of them in our projection since Maltese cintizens dedicate them selves for fireworks during the summer period.
