Why should I fill out my VUConnect Profile? VUConnect gives you personalized job recommendations based on the information you provide on your profile. This provides an opportunity for you to find jobs and internships that are right for you. Recruiters are five times more likely to proactively reach out to you with job opportunities and event invitations if your profile is complete. Your VUConnect Profile is an important tool to showcase your interests, skills, strengths, and experiences in continuing to market yourself.
It's important to note students have the ability to control when the profile is "public" by switching the button to "publish" their profile. Students may share their profile by selecting the "Share It" link and retrieving the public URL link which opens to a unique website. An employer will have access to view a student's profile only if it's published by the student.
For this assignment, students are expected to update their VUConnect Profile in completing their education, experiences, organizations & extracurricular, academic courses, skills, and project sections that are applicable. Students can access their VUConnect profile by visiting https://vanguard-csm.symplicity.com/students to login with your student credentials to start updating their VUConnect profile.

Personal Statement: Include a summary highlighting who you are, what are your interests, identify your tops skill, internship/volunteer experiences, academic projects, or noting any accomplishments you are most proud off. This is an opportunity to introduce yourself to employers!

EDUCATION: Include the degree you are earning at VU. (i.e. Are you double majoring? Do you have a minor? Did you earn an associate degree from your community college?).

I am currently a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology at VU, who is eager to continue my educational studies to learn more about the field of industrial and Organizational Psychology. I have always enjoyed analyzing data and finding creative solutions to problems in hopes of improving and making effective recommendations to increase efficiency in systems/organizations.
My research experience has served an opportunity to strengthen my research skills in using the software SPSS, my communication, and detail-oriented skills in developing surveys and coding the information. I am excited to continue exploring the field of Psychology and connecting with professionals to learn from their experiences.
