Introduction Gigabeat - A fascinating instrumental music festival lasts long for 2 days will be organized in 2021 at Gamuda City Ha Noi along with the participation of the hottest artist working with ambient, dance, experimental, electronic, and jazz music genres. Besides, it is anticipated that around this time frame Viettel telecommunication company will simultaneously shout out its brand new era of 5G ultra-high speed which makes it become the key sponsor for Gigabeat music festival. Gigabeat from its name marks the development of the communication with the appearance of the new 5G network through the speed of data transfer "Gigabit per second". Moreover, the Gigabeat music festival also converges the experimental feeling from music genre, speed of telecommunication development in Vietnam, and young spirit of youth culture from the chosen artists.

The puzzle concept was generated through floating blocks and isometric grid which aims to free people's imagination with what they see and perceive. Last but not least, in terms of color use, typography, and shapes, the floating puzzle desires to bring the feeling of movement, spontaneity and the future.

Floating Pu
The concept of Floating Puzzle was inspired by the bizarre appealing music genre of the Gigabeat music festival which varies from gentle ambient and smooth jazz to electronic and experimental dance. Because of the obvious differences from each genre, each of them is seen as an interesting piece that contributes to a complete experimental music festival.
Visual Identity One of the intense desires of young people is seeking the answers to all questions surrounding their life, they simultaneously also keen on stuff related to dynamic, speed and future which inspires for Floating Puzzle concept creation. The puzzle concept was generated by 2 main visual identity elements as The floating blocks and The key shapes.
Floating blocks

First thing first, the floating blocks are three dimensional shapes constituted via an isometric grid system. Those blocks are generated spontaneously with different scales, various properties, and flexible strokes. Thus, it not only creates diverse and fascinating visual but also potentially supplements the feeling of rhythm through repetition, variation, and layers of the composition. Besides, the geometric characteristic and direction of the floating blocks work really well in representing key words of the brand identity as the movement, spontaneity, and the future. Last but not least, those blocks also demonstrate the fast pace of the new era of 5G network and data transmission also.
Secondly, the identity of the Floating puzzle concept also includes the abstract key shapes created base on the two familiar musical notes - Quaver & Beam notes. Those three-dimension abstract musical notes are visualized with thick outline strokes and different shades of blue in order to bring the feeling of space. Moreover, it simply shows the literal image of music linking to the Gigabeat festival. In terms of expansion and flexibility, this key shape can be any shape that suits the subject of the project not only fixed with musical notes.
The combination
Both 2 visual identity elements are followed by the isometric grid system but each of them has different usage and meaning that makes them interesting when combines together. The floating blocks have a purpose to hide the key shapes to enhance the curiosity and evoke the imagination of the audiences. Hence, it transfers the perspective of the audience's on familiar things to various observation way that they have never thought before. Finally, 2 main visual identity elements appearing parallelly contributes to express the explosion of the new era of the 5G network and the characteristic of the Gigabeat music festival.

The keyshapes
Logo Logotype Logo was simply influenced and expressed the spirit of the identity through using the word mark combining with the cube shape. Via logical calculation, the lettering using extended typeface “Neu Plak” was strongly followed the principle of the identity through applying the isometric perspective to create the feeling of space and rhythm.

Exclusion zone In order to protect the logo’s integrity and ensure its readability, an exclusion zone was generated around the logo which was defined based on the width of the logo wordmark “GI”.

Do The original logo can be effectively used on solid and dynamic colour backgrounds which still maintains the energetic spirit for the identity. Moreover, it can work with music festival images with the requirement of flexibility adjustment.
Don’t The structure, proportions, elements, propertises or the direction of the logo are not allowed to alter or distort.

White version The white one was mainly generated via swiping blocks. However, this version looks much more fun with unstructured rotation which enhances the feeling of the spontaneous timbre.
Blue version The blue one has more sense of classical and system which was originated through rotating the block in normal way.

The Favicon & App icon was inherited from the official logo of Gigabeat music festival because of its flexibility and simplicity. Moreover, the icon can be transformed to small scale without loosing any initial value and spirit of the visual identity.

To correlate the primary colour is pure blue, Sequel 100 Black 76 has used as Display Type with steady form, heavyweight and a bit extended in width. It highlights the title in big scale and simultaneously makes the balanced with other elements in the composition. With the italic variation, this typeface also illustrates the sense of Ultra-High Speed and stand out the movement direction of Floating Puzzle.

Neue Plak wide semi bold has the balanced between the width in letterform and the thickness of strokes. Hence, it has decorative factor besides the information transmission. It often to use in outline letter version.

Colour Pure Blue is implied as freedom, pioneering, modern atmosphere with the sense of the dynamic spirit. It matches with the innovation, the core value that Viettel always pursues. Thus, it has chosen as the main colour to present the Floating Puzzle. Pure Blue is recommended for the largest area in the composition.

PANTONE WHITE HEX: ffffff RGB: 255-255-255 CMYK: 0%-0%-0%-0% White always brings elegance, openness and when combining with pure blue, simultaneously it makes contrast and harmony. White is used for typeface and details. But in some situations, white can be used as the main colour.
Primary colours, particular is Pure Blue, it can work well with other tones from the blue colour spectrum to illustrate the dimension of the key shape.

Background Selection Criteria The background pictures should be related to the music festival and also adjsuted the brightness suitably to the prositive and negative version of the logo. The complex photo backgrounds are strongly recommended not to be used. Use a solid corporate colour label behind the logo if there is no other option.

With the small scale, logo can be used as watermark on various format as video, documentary, photo materials for press realase and other social medias. The white version is used for dark materials and contrastly, the blue version is used for the light one.

Last but not least, the blocks combined with key shapes based on an isometric grid system not only show an important core value of Viettel "system thinking" but also demonstrate Viettel's personality and self-image through the connection between blocks and sound categories together create a complete experimental festival.
