back in time...

Cupcake Crafty started in march 2013, on the 4th (to be exact!). i was inspired to start blogging by many wonderful blogs including Scathingly Brilliant and Lost in The Haze. I then continued to discover blogs by people my age posting about what i love doing....crafting!!

diy photo journal

my first real craft on Cupcake Crafty was craft cotton notebooks made from magazine pages and thread the photos were terrible and I actually didn’t really want to share it on here but it’s an important part of the making of Vanilla Craft....

a new camera

For my 14th birthday my parents bought be a DSLR camera. I was starting to feel serious about blogging and to me. having beautiful photos is a massive part of blogging. If you are interested and don’t already know, I have a Canon EOS 1100D but I think it is also called a rebel t3i.

a fresh start.... ....Vanilla Craft

(haha I just realised I’m a poet!!) so i’m not going to chatter anymore, instead show you many happenings that have happened to me and Vanilla Craft Blog as we have grown and reached many milestones

get crafty with printstagram

supplies needed: pens, cardstock, wooden pegs, scissors, glue gun, magnets

cut shapes from cardstock. I chose cats because I’m crazy for cats but you could do any animal or anything in fact!

decorate your silhouettes with pens, stickers or anything. This craft has so many options, it’s up to you and your imagination

Hot glue your cardstock onto the wooden pegs. allow to dry.

use your magnet sticker to cut and stick onto back of pegs.

now use your pegs for fridge magnets or just as bookmarks without the magnets!! enjoy xx

reaching 100...

reaching 100 followers was one of my biggest milestones. A milestone that I thought I would never reach...but I did. And I reached that milestone on the 4th December 2013! Exactly 10 months since I started Cupcake Crafty.

happy 2014....diy time

I started the year of 2014 with many blog goals including improving my photography, being more original and overall having a better blog and of course gain more followers. I also gave a DIY that is one of my popular DIY’s to date (this goal thing was already working)

popular posts

taking time to plan posts and get photos perfect are always big parts of this blog i like to take pride in the work that I create so that it can be enjoyed by many. this always pays off because it means that my posts get spread and to me, that is spreading the love of craftiness!!

instagram file box

this post was apart of my printsgr.am collaboration. perfect for little photos and prettiness to file away on your coffee table...

cat pencil case

this was one of my favourite posts ever to make. I use this as a coin purse all the time. but you could modify this for anything you want it to be shaped....I’m thinking of making a succulent/cactus shaped one!!

project restyle

this is one of a series of project restyles but who wants a plain sewing machine!! I certainly prefer a pretty watermelon print to cover up swirls and blue flowers
