Brora 40-year-old
This exceptional Single Malt Scotch whisky from Brora – a long-closed ‘ghost distillery’ – has been released to celebrate the maker’s 200th anniversary. The limited-edition Brora 40-Year-Old was drawn from 12 casks from the original ghost stocks from 1978, an era known as ‘the age of peat’. With just 1,819 bottles available – each one costing £4,500 – every sip is a precious bit of whisky history for Brora’s cult following. What’s more, the gates of the distillery will reopen in 2020 as part of a £35m investment. We’ll raise a glass to that.
