A NEW LIMIT IN New Zealand

Manatū Hauora, the New Zealand Minister of Health, has raised alarm with a new proposal to change the legal limit of nicotine in vaping devices to 28mg/ml. Nicotine content in vapes is currently regulated at 20mg/ml in the EU, UK and Canada, a stark disparity from the maximum limit proposed by Manatū in a lowkey, two-week submission process. The Asthma & Respiratory Foundation said in response: “People need to understand what product strength they are using, and manufacturers need to understand how to meet the regulations…” “We are concerned that the Ministry’s proposal will not lead to greater clarity.”
