“ The Chinese Fishing nets” The Refugee crisis has become one of the World major problem these days . Inspired by fisherman village and their functional fishing equipment The Installation these days can be seen as ineffective because of their limited operating depth. Different installations will be operated depending on the state of the tide. This fishing method cost Zero energy due to their manual kinetic method by using atleast four mens at a time for one haul. The Refugee mostly spend their time on the Raft / Ships by no choices that later cause many problem such like their health. Instead of just a ship, Why don’t make it a fully functional shelter? Due to the Installation constraint and the Fisherman floating village in Thailand. The Ideas of making sustainable floating shelter for a refugee that can be placed universal and fully sustained by themselves.
The Refugee crisis is a global crisis. Just like the Unit, It’s Universal. The Unit can be flip from The Minimun size ( 50 Square metre) to The Maximum size (150 Square metre). The Unit movement is all manual which costing zero energy. The Roofing material can be various from Solar Panel to some Stretching nets or Fishing nets due ti the climate. The Structure can be from Bamboo to Metal depends on enviroment. The Fishing nets can haul lots of fish and water plants which can sustain a family for a week. EVERYONE IS A LITTLE NARCISSIST.
“ Everyone is a little narcissist. ” Nothing’s wrong with being a little obsessed with yourself. It’s like a habit we are all born with, whether some have a lot or some just a few. Research shows that what attracts people ‘s vision most is their reflection. People check themself an average 8 times a day. Whether its a miror , a mobile phone or just a reflection. Using the attraction from the reflection plane. Let’s say each plane attracts one vision ,then placing them next to each other, There’s a chance that one vision might met the other vision in an endless possibility. People form ties in various way. Vision is a key to initiates a relationship between people.
What we do is to initiate a ties. Creats a space that gather the diversity. Remove all the discrimination and form a relationship in a society. The purpose of this is that no matter you’re here with your friends or just you alone, you will always know someone new back from this shelter. Proximity is also a key to form a relationships. The Structure can transform to various span to enrich the lifestyle of the users. Whether the users are a co-worker coming for luch or picnicking, a group of friends hanging out, parents playing with their kids or just a date with your partner. The structure is very flexible to the activity. Mostly concern on the right proximity / space between the users. Skulthai Public Recreation Station Domestic Competition I 2016
The Meaning of recreation on this 2016 world is not the same anymore. Interactive Screen / Automated Platform / Electro Music / Mobile Application / E-books / Digital Gallery.
It’s all about the future of recreation. Technology takes a main role in our life. It’s the Age of Digital Arts. Hussey seating has a limit of operation which can only operate on one axis. Which mean everyone in the seating can only view the performing stage from just only one side. In order to maximize the vision but still keep the same operation system. We design to make each unit in a curve form to embrace a performance space and to expand the vision to the performing platform. This recreation station can be situated in a public space where many peolple can use this as a creativity platform; stages a show or even a street performance. Everyone can be a performer or a viewer depending on what you’re up to. There’s no limit in this creativity recreation station.
Creativity can be perform anywhere.
Whether you need a sunken space for the better sound for your band rehersal or a hill top -like for your BMX training.
The L.E.D steps can turn into a giant screen for any digital arts performance.
