THE PERFECT BALANCE Seating comfort and a strong visual identity – the Grade series delivers both with its subtly reliefed polypropelene shell and choice of colour schemes. Match in monochrome or contrast with colour, the choice is yours. As an office chair or armchair for the home, the characteristic seat shell is just the starting point. Choose your style without compromising on comfort. As we said, the perfect balance.

COMFORTABLY CONTEMPORARY We asked our designer to create something slender, contemporary and restful. The answer? Cajal. As an easy chair, small or spacious sofa, it’s the perfect solution for an office, restaurant, or waiting area – especially where a more homely feeling is required. For a particularly eye-catching finish combine different coloured steel tubing and fabric/leather. Create your own playful or graceful version.

59 YEARS IN THE MAKING Style never goes out of fashion. Neither does functionality. Which is why Taburett has changed so little since 1955. In fact, aside from new colour options, the only thing you’ll spot is the button attaching the seat to the frame now bears an ‘L’ for Lammhults. The answer is always in the detail.
TABURETT DESIGN EDVIN STÅHL

VISUAL BALANCE IN ANY ROOM Rectangular, square or round. What happens when you furnish a space with such elements? How is the architecture affected? Funk doesn’t communicate with the rest of the furnishing, it relates to the architecture directly. With the activity based working areas in mind, the Funk series is now available with a new height in several dimensions, in order to make any room equally functional and aesthetic.
FUNK DESIGN JOHANNES FOERSOM & PETER HIORT-LORENZEN

CINEMA 20 YEARS Three years. That’s how long it took to develop Cinema. And yet it looks so simple. Why is this? It´s all in the details. I tested innumerable different stitching, developed a technique to have the leather fit snugly around the armrests, struggled to make the fastening in the backrest invisible. Over the years this way of working has become typical of me, always slimming back, reducing without compromising the character of the piece. Gunilla Allard, designer.

the modernist principles We folloW
From our point of view, clarity of design, truth to materials and industrial production are the essence of the Modern Movement – principles we have shared and promoted throughout our history. the essential design We create
For more than 65 years Lammhults has delivered its signature Scandinavian style to public spaces, homes and offices, creating a world of elegant modern interiors. Lammhults products are forward-looking and innovative. With each new product the rich tradition of Lammhults gives new life to the principles of the Modern Movement.
The pioneer thoughts of the early modernists are unmistakably still modern. Modern design has developed, sustainability has grown in importance and the techniques are refined, but the concept remains the same.
The story of Modern Essentials begins as the history of Lammhults crosses the timeline of the Modern Era in 1945. The humanist and functional spirit of the Modern Movement came to nourish the ideas of founder Edvin St책hl and his successors as Lammhults started their journey from a local manufacturer to a global design company.

ANYA SEBTON Anya Sebton’s earliest association with fine design was in her childhood home in Stockholm. Influenced by the works of internationally famous Scandinavian designers that surrounded her, Anya pursued an academic programme of studies in interior architecture and design. When Anya Sebton graduated from Beckmans School of Art she was recognized by Svensk Form by being one of three designers represented at the Young Nordic Design exhibition. This exhibition travelled around Europe. Multiplicity was the chosen product, a lounge chair with modular capabilities developed together with Lammhults, a design inspired by the strict minimalist aesthetics of airplane seating. From these noteworthy beginnings, Anya has created a full range of innovative, functional products for Lammhults. Anya describes the consistent theme to all her works as disciplined research. “When I approach a design assignment, I research the field thoroughly, looking for a gap. In this way, what I design is not just another product, but an innovation on a theme.“ The designs of Anya Sebton are thoughtful and refined, demonstrating an intellectual rationale and a practical sensibility, as well as an innovative appeal.
GUNILLA ALLARD With a background of working with several projects in the Swedish film industry, Gunilla enrolled at Konstfack, the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, in 1983, to study interior and furniture design. In 1985 Gunilla was a visiting student at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School in Copenhagen. When newly graduated, in 1988, Gunilla was selected, as one of five students, to participate in a student workshop arranged by Lammhults, which led to the start of her carrier as a furniture designer. Gunilla became Lammhults first female designer and her continued work for Lammhults has resulted in a numerous range of furniture design. Cinema easy chair, designed for Lammhults in 1994, with details from old sports cars as a source of inspiration, is the most wellknown of her designs. The statement of the jury of the George Jensen prize received in 1996, one of many prestigious awards received, well describes her products. ”… strict, minimalistic and elegant design. The proportions and details of her furniture reveal a genuine sense of quality.” Gunilla´s collaboration with Lammhults during 20 years, as well as designing kitchens, glassware, lightning and carpets, makes her one of the foremost names in contemporary Scandinavian design.
JOHANNES FOERSOM PETER HIORT-LORENZEN Working as partners since 1977, Peter HiortLorenzen and Johannes Foersom approached Lammhults in 1986 with the idea of cooperating in the creation of a new set of furniture designs for the international marketplace. Following the success of their first upholstered pieces, Peter & Johannes brought international acclaim to Lammhults with the Campus chair in 1992. Guided by the principle that furniture must not dominate it’s surroundings, Peter Hiort-Lorenzen & Johannes Foersom set out to create strong, silent designs. As Peter explains: “The hardest part of our work is to reach the point where our designs are totally clear, the point where all the ’noise’ is gone from the design.“ Light, precise and practical, the measure of success of the designs done by Peter & Johannes for Lammhults is in the extensive international design awards they have won. Lammhults seating and tables by Peter & Johannes can be found in the most prestigious interiors of homes and offices around the world.
BÖRGE LINDAU BO LINDEKRANTZ By the early 1960s Lammhults was looking to expand it’s design identity and they invited the well-known design partners Lindau & Lindekrantz to work with them. In 1965 Lammhults asked Lindau & Lindekrantz to design a chair for public use. Instead of one chair, Lindau and Lindekrantz offered two: Ritz and Royal. The chairs were the beginning of a long and fruitful collaboration that was to last for two decades. Over the course of the next 20 years, Lindau & Lindekrantz created scores of designs for Lammhults, establishing the company as a reference point for leading Scandinavian design. During Lammhult’s collaboration with Börge Lindau and Bo Lindekrantz, a number of important furniture designs were developed. A collection of Lindau & Lindekrantz designs are still in production.
LOVE ARBÉN Love Arbén is not only an architect, but also a professor at the university and a writer. Love is a man without free time, fully involved in every dimension of his life, but rich in the complexities he brings together at one single point. The clarity of design in the modernist movement appeals to Love and he talks of the simplicity of expression in the designs of this period as being clean - free of decoration. Modern furniture is at it’s best when it becomes “invisible“. The furniture recedes into its setting, serving not controlling its space.
ANDREAS FARKAS Andreas, born 1985 in Stockholm, Sweden, began his studies at KTH University College´s School of Architecture in 2005. During his studies he started thinking a lot about the architect´s role and responsibility, where to start and finish the shape of a building and how to relate to spaces and functionality. After his bachelor degree he applied to Konstfack, University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, and got accepted. The master year gave him more creativity and perspective to what an architect and designer can do, working in a smaller scale and experiencing tools and craftsmanship in detail. In 2011, a course called: “Design Industry” introduced Andreas to Lammhults Möbel AB and after some sketchwork and research for a new, fresh design his first product for Lammhults, Dexter stool, was created.
