ROUTER

A Router is a networking device that forwards knowledge packets between networks. Routers perform the traffic directive functions on the web. an information packet is often forwarded from one router to a different through the networks that represent the internetwork till it reaches its destination node. It is a route device which defines router of data It reads the packet and filter them It works on IP address network It manages all traffic inside the routing

SWITCH ď śA switch is a centralized network hardware device that permits

communication between different devices within a network by using packet switching to receive, process and forward data to the destination device. ď śSwitches are found in both unmanaged and managed forms. ď śA switch could be a multiport network bridge that uses hardware addresses to forward data at the Data link layer of the OSI model.

HUB A Hub is a networking device which receives signal from the source, amplifies it and send it to multiple destinations or computers. It is used to connect different devices like computer, printer, server or many more. It is divided into 3 parts. 1. 2. 3.

MODEM Modem is a combination of two words modulator-demodulator. Modulator means analog to digital. Demodulator means digital to analog. The main job is to provide a signal that may be transmitted simply and decoded to reproduce the original digital information.

CABLES Networking cables are basically a medium through which we can connect one network to another network or used to connect same as well as different devices Straight Cable- It is used to connect different devices in Network

RJ 45 CONNECTOR RJ45 connector is a hardware device that works on physical layer of OSI layer model. It is made up of plastic having 8 pins.

NETWORK INTERFACE CARD A network interface card (NIC) could be a card or card that's put in during a pc in order that it will be connected to a network. A network interface card provides the pc with a passionate, regular association to a network. Personal computers and workstations on an area network (LAN) generally contain a network interface card specifically designed for the computer network transmission technology

IP-PHONE A VoIP phone or IP phone uses Voice over IP technologies for transmitting telephone calls over an IP network, such as the Internet, instead of the traditional public switched telephone network

ACCESS POINT In a wireless native space network (WLAN), AN access purpose could be a station that transmits and receives knowledge (sometimes said as a transceiver). AN access purpose connects users to alternative users among the network and can also function the purpose of interconnection between the LAN and a hard and fast wire network. .
