When people experience a city, it is the Food and the Architecture of that place the most often have the largest cultural impact. Throughout the history of civilization there has been a close and mutually beneficial relationship between food and cities. Food and Architecture can be used to create a place specific design that supports a local food system and social engagement with an Urban Community. The spaces and domains of food are all around us and food-related activities occur in several places and shapes both indoors and out; perhaps in the design of the restaurant, the cafes, markets, barns, fields or steps and low walls along the street pavements of the city, which we encounter while we are enjoying our lunch in the sun. Eating and drinking are natural preconditions for human survival and constitute a regular ingredient in our daily lives; both in the private sphere of the home and in the public domains of the city. Basic criteria for the Architectural intervention as an Urban Insert is not food simply as a final product, but also as a process which will let to know the city relation with the public places. Also make an initiative to set an example for an individuals role towards city’s upliftment and development.

This theory and concept has helped in creating a public place as per public need and demand. It has helped in knowing the criteria and the process in how to start the research and the process of Place Making. To propose an Urban Architecture that blends the city’s market with City’s Food Gatherings and Proposal that will give market a new sense of Approach in the city where food joint will be the Centre of Attraction.
The overall outcome from case studies can be seen as an Organic Growth of food places/markets/shops etc. As per the need and demand the there has been consistent growth. And today they are well known Food Plazas. Programme Brief
