The ad honours RenĂŠ Lacoste who apart from founding the clothing giant, was a famous tennis player. The brand is reinventing the image of tennis with the ads and is defining the bold new fashions it is going to be putting out in the future.

Creative Shopping Bags Just spotted, a Coke vending machine robot walking around outside of Shibuya Station in Tokyo. Coca-Cola has oversized robot vending machines lumbering around Tokyo pinching the heads of people who prefer a different brand. These robots have been made to the likeness of the 11inch tall desktop toys which feauture the regular as well as the black Coke Zero available in Japan. The toys feature bendy arms and have a little coin slot for saving up your yen and buying more coke.

Sharmila’s yoga classes in Hyderabad, India have really caught on thanks to some really clever advertising by ad agency Mindset. The ads which direct people to the location of Sharmila’s classes look like roadsigns, and when you are driving will certainly make you look twice.

Sony has done a good job of keeping the PSP phone under the covers till now, but that hasn’t stopped people from guessing and designing their own versions of the PSP Phone. The most recent design is that by iWish. The Design looks pretty spunky and looks like it could be a newer version of the psp but not the psp phone.

Rolling Boom Boxes When you want to roll out with the rolling stones then this is the ghettoblaster that you need. Inbal Tyagi an Israeli designer has put together a set of speakers, a battery rechargeable by dynamo and a mp3 player to give you the Boombox. According to her site she got the inspiration for her rolling boombox from the humble hula-hoop. The batteries recharge as you roll your boombox around with you making it a great environmental friendly design.

DJ Ipod Speakers The FUNkit DJ Animated iPod Speaker System is a robot which is programmed to twist, turn and even scratch the dummy turntables to the music, always keeping up with the actual rhythm. It even interfaces with your Mac so it can charge and sync with your iPod.

Finnish Design company Provoke which is better known as Nokia’s main design contractor has come up with three new concept phones. The Express, Share and Feel concepts represent the company’s vision for mobiles in 2012. Each of the phones will be presented in the HARDCORE New Finish Design exhibition. The looks of the Express concept can be changed electronically to your own desire, while the Feel handset is targeted towards couples with advanced features such as touch simulation for that extra little excitement. The Share mobile allows groups to communicate to each other through personalized code which is pretty incoherent to people outside the group.

iView The “iView” concept model of the Apple’s iMac takes its cue from the 1950’s CINERAMA wrap around movie theatre screens. The designer decided to use a curved screen instead of the normal straight was since it allowed for better orientation to the natural curvature of the human eye. A second built in LCD Screen on the back which would be helpful especially while making presentations.

Casio has done a great job of offering never before available functions on its new Exilim EXF1 Digital Camera. This opens up a whole new world of High speed photography. The Camera features a 60 Frames per second Burst mode which can be varied to upto 5 shots per 12 seconds. The Camera also features a Pre-record image buffer which records upto 60 images before you even click the shutter button.

Zero Emission Suzuki Crosscage Suzuki is cutting out on emissions totally and is going green with its Suzuki Crosscage Hydrogen Fuel Cell Motorcycle. The bike doesn’t have any gears, doesn’t produce any noise and zero emissions. Although it is still pretty much in the test phase, Suzuki has plans to roll it out pretty soon.

The Gumpert Apollo Ever wanted to drive so fast that you could drive on the roof of a tunnel. Well that’s exactly what the creators of the Gumpert Apollo claim that their car can do. But that’s not all the car, actually uses a hybrid engine to spurn out all of that power. According to the manufacturers “The apollo is the perfect synthesis of road vehicle and track car. It evokes passion and driving pleasure beyond all expectations: 650 HP, 360 km/h (224 mph) top speed and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 3 seconds, you would have to go a long way to find an alternative to the apollo.”

Cool Japanes Rides Well when it comes to doing something different you can always depend on the Japanese and this time they have done it with style. Usually its the bikes which hog the limelight but these scooters can certainly stand on their own. These scooters have been doing rounds in auto shows in Japan recently and are doing their bit to bring back the scooter charm. The most commonly modded seems to be the Suzuki Skywave and the Honda Forza.

Deus Ex Machina, Exoskeleton Biking Designer Jake Loniak just morphed together a bike and an exoskeleton to produce the cool Deus Ex Machina. The Concept motorcycle branded by Yamaha is powered by ultracapacitors and doped nano-phoshpate batteries (similar to the ones currently used in hybrid cars) It is controlled using 36 pneumatic muscles with two linear actuators set along a spine consisting of seven artificial vertebrae. Designed to achieve a top speed of 75mph (060mph in 3 seconds) with a recharge time as less as 15 minutes. Comes with a pneumatically attached helmet.

Digital Plant Campanions Ever wished that your plant could talk to you or atleast express their feelings. Thanks to designer Junyi Heo plants will be able to do just that. The Digital Pot measures soil conditions, temperature, humidity, and water; it then calculates the requirements of the potted plant and displays the mood of the plant using smileys and other icons on the front display. The system let you know if you have over watered the plant and automatically drains the excess water. The pot also has a USB connection using which you can record the moods of your plant, plus it also recharges the batteries for the system.

The Pong Table Moritz Waldemeyer, the designer of the Pong Table used 2400 LEDS and two track pads to turn a white Corian table into a digital gaming board. The table which re-creates the classic games introduced by Atari in 1972. Flick a switch and the game turns off, so that you can have an uninterrupted meal.

The Desginer seating morphs together two different forms into one so that while a person can sit upright on one end, it also allows another person to lounge on the other. Cybertecture Egg, High Technology Workplaces

Architect James Law has been commissioned by Vijay Associate (Wadhwa Developers) to create an office unlike any other in Mumbai, India. The Egg will accomodate 13 floors of offices where office workers will be treated to customizable workspaces that can apparently alter their view with a world locale of choice. The office space will also feature hightech intelligent bathrooms that will monitor worker health by monitoring weight and blood pressure, Alerting doctors if necessary.

Acceleration Copenhagen based designer Phillip Grass has come up with a concept for a space age sofa call the ‘Acceleration’. The chic sofa which looks as if taken from a sci-fi movie has two mock up jet turbines at the side “My design is futuristic with a sense of acceleration and speed; organic with seamless flowing forms,” says Grass. “Simple, well-balanced and peaceful, while simultaneously creating a sense of awe.”

The Cobblestone Art Museum of Yue Minjun Nestled beside Qingcheng Mountain and by the Shimeng River is the site for the Art Museum of Yue Minjun. Designed to reflect an organic form of a cobblestone taken from the river, the museum has a light metal coating which mildly reflects the surrounding scenes dissolving it in its surroundings.

Samsung’s 10 optical illusions in 2 minutes Samsung has released a viral ad on the web to promote its new Samsung Soul mobile phones. The ad has a guy running around demonstrating some cool optical illusions just as the title of the video suggests. Most of these effects have been used in movies previously but now are gaining some old school fame with the grunge style picking up.

Bill O’Reilly’s Fuse shorts out Bill O’Reilly definitely did not have any idea that this video would make it out into the net when he flipped out during the filming. The news caster apparently got angry with the teleprompter who probably messed up or was trying to play a prank, nevertheless the prank is on Bill after the release of this video. Even a musical parody of the video has made it out and is doing rounds of the net.

Kia Nadal vs Aliens

Kia is recalling it’s ad for containing some innappropriate content, guess they should have thought twice before releasing it on the web like that. We managed to grab a copy of the Nadal vs the Aliens video before google took it down from their Youtube site. The pretty controversial ad shows Nadal shoving his foot up the ass of a mini Nadal midget while transforming into a anime style super robot.
