UPLB JARGONS NF

OF

New Freshmen.

Old Freshmen.

Form 5

Official receipt and registration form of subjects enrolled for the semester. Fun fact: Pwede mo 'tong gamitin sa bus kapag naiwan mo ang ID mo.

Form 26

Sablay

Ang simbolo ng graduation. minsan 4 years, minsan 5 years, minsan 6 years pero pwede ring through the years yan!

Kaya kayo maging proud of being an isko/iska.

US

Mas matalino ka kapag nakuha mo to, kaya galingan. Ez laude ka na kapag namaintain mo to hanggang dulo.

HR

Eto Honor Roll ibig sabihin, dapat aleast 2.0 GWA mo kada sem. Matalino ka talaga kapag naabot mo 'to.

Good Standing

Warning

Probi (Probation)

Eto academic standing mo pag naipasa mo ang at least 76% of your total number of academic units. No pressure sis!

Eto naman pag nagka grades ka below '3.0' sa 25 49 % of your total number of academic units.

UPLB JARGON S Dismissal

Permanent Disqualification

LOA

Leave of Absence.

UPLB JARGON S Bluebook

HUWAG mong kakalimutan magdala nito!

KAYA ACADS OVER ALAKS DAPAT HA!

USC

University Student Council.

CSC

College Student Council. Sila naman ang mga leaders per college. Nakikipagcoordinate sila sa USC para mas mapabilis yung process ng information about student concerns since mas specific na ang pinamumunuan nila.

Grove

Eto naman yung kalsada after main gate. Dito kaliwa't kanan yung mga computer shops, printing shops, kainan, gimikan, at study cafes.

UPLB JARGON S Raymundo

Dema

Marami ring dorms dito, along Grove naman located 'to. Pili ka na lang kung san ka mas kumportable magstay while studying in UPLB.

Tambayan

Non-Affi

TBA

Tallest Building Around. Charot! To Be Announced talaga meaning nyan. Wait lang kayo kung sinong magiging profs nyo, it's a surprise!

UPLB JARGON S Kaliwa

Secret Shop

Pili Drive

Eto yung mahabang kalsada after CEAT. Maraming Pili trees kaya ganyan pangalan niya.

CEAT

College of Engineering and Agro-Industrial Technology.

UPLB JARGON S CAS

Kwekkwek tower

Carillon Tower

College of Arts and Sciences, located yung college nila sa gitna mismo ng campus. Eto rin pinakamalaking college sa elbi.

Pagpasok mo sa main gate, kitang kita mo agad 'to.

May Core, Super, at kadalasang Electives ay GE kaya choose it wisely yung talagang hilig mo pag-aralan at sa tingin mo ay mas magbebenefit ka kapag tinake mo

GI

Guidance Instruction, additional subject to sa 1st sem, designed para mas maging close kayo ng mga kabloc mo. 10 sessions lang 'to, sulitin na malay mo kabloc mo pala magiging jowa mo o bespren diba.

FPark

Freedom Park, nasa gitna to ng campus natin, sobrang lawak nito legit. Sobrang saya rito kapag Febfair.

UPLB JARGON S Feb fair

Speaking of hahaha, taunang celebration to sa buong UP system ever February. Inilunsad as a protest event noon hanggang ngayon. As time goes by, nag-improve at pinagdadausan na rin ng iba't ibang activities like perya, concerts ng mga sikat na banda, at iba pa.

Proben

Upper campus

Lower campus

Eto naman yung Lower Half ng UPLB, from maingate hanggang gitna, kung san located yung rooms for CAS, CEM, CHE, atbp.

OpenTamb

Masayang event to!

UPLB JARGON S All nighter

One beers

Square

APARTMENTS & DORMS Like most freshies, finding a dormitory or an apartment is a struggle. So, let’s help you ease that mindless walking around UPLB. Here are some popular areas to visit if you’re looking for a “home sweet home” in LB.

If you’re on a really TIGHT BUDGET or just want to SAVE MONEY, we recommend you look for UP dorms. You can visit the website for a complete list: https://uho.uplb.edu.ph/services /student-housing

Option 1

Option 2

If you have other preferences, try to check out these areas near the UP gate and OUTSIDE THE CAMPUS. Note that the names are color-coded corresponding to the arrows and marks in the map.

Raymundo Area Located near the 2nd jeepney stop in the KANAN route. Known for the Raymundo gate in front of the waiting shed near the College of Economics and Management (CEM). Has many cafeterias to eat, laundry shops, and sari-sari stores.

Big Belly's Area Big Belly’s is a restaurant in between the 1st and 2nd jeep stop in the KANAN route. The restaurant has apartments around it.

Apartments in KALIWA We recommend walking along the KALIWA route. Don’t hesitate to enter passageways there because there are lots of apartment when you walk inside each. Walk until the last passageway near the newly built bridge. Note that there’s also a dormitory inside St. Therese Church.

Demarces Enter the road where Bonito’s restaurant is located; this is near Micha’s bakeshop. As you enter, the road will split into two streets. You can check both streets since they both have a lot of apartments.

APARTMENTS

& DORMS

Grove Area This area has no exact boundaries, but good estimate is from the UP gate until F.O. Between the two points, there are also passageways on both sides of the streets like in the KALIWA route. Near fast foods, school supplies and convenience stores.

F.O. Santos Street Commonly known as F.O., this is a street near Mer-Nel’s cakes. There are apartments along this street. The end of this street is connected to the road with the Raymundo Gate.

Agapita Area This is a little far from UP gate, but you might want to consider this area since apartments near the campus get easily occupied. This area is known because of the Agapita Plaza. You can find this area near Mercury drug and 7-11. You can also check out the road opposite the road of the actual Agapita Plaza (as indicated on the map).
