PERSONALSTATEMENT

Ihavealwaysbeenpassionateaboutdesignandtechnology.Mydiversebackgroundand skillsethaveallowedmetoexplorevariousfields,fromfurnituredesigntohorology, automotivedesign,fabrication,jewelrydesign,3Dprinting,and3Dscanning.

Throughoutmyacademicandprofessionalcareer,Ihavereceivednumerousaccolades, includingawardsfromtheprestigiousRoyalInstituteofBritishArchitects(RIBA).These awardshavenotonlyrecognizedmytalentanddedicationbutalsoreinforcedmybelief inthepowerofdesigntoshapeandimprovetheworldwelivein.

Mypassionfordesignextendsbeyondarchitecture,asIhavealsoworkedonvarious designprojectsinthefieldsoffurnituredesign,horology,automotivedesign,and fabrication.Myexperienceinthesefieldshasallowedmetoapproacheachprojectfrom auniqueperspective,bringingfreshideasandinnovativesolutionstothetable. Myexperiencehavesgivenmeathoroughunderstandingofhowdigitaltechnologies canbeappliedindesignprocesses,includingprototypingandfabrication.

Movingforward,Iamexcitedtocontinuepushingtheboundariesofwhatispossiblein theworldofdesign.Ibelievethatthroughcollaboration,innovation,andadeep understandingoftheneedsanddesiresoftheend-users,wecancreatespaces,products, andexperiencesthatarenotonlybeautifulbutalsofunctional,sustainable, andmeaningful.I'mconstantlydriventopushtheboundariesofwhatispossiblewith materials.Whetheritisthroughexperimentingwithnewcombinations,exploring unconventionaltexturesandpatterns,orrepurposingexistingmaterialsinuniqueways, mygoalisalwaystocreatenewandexcitingmaterialsthatcantakemyprojectstothe nextlevel.

Thematerialityofaprojectisjustasimportantastheformandfunction.Ibelievethat materialshavethepowertotransformaspaceorobject,andIamalwaysonthelookout forwaystocreatesomethingtrulyspecial.WhetherIamworkingwithwood,metal, oranyothermaterial,myfocusisonfindingwaystobringoutitsinherentbeautyand tousethosequalitiestoenhancetheoveralldesign.

Ultimately,myworkisaboutexploringthepossibilitiesofmaterialsandusingthat explorationtocreatesomethingunique.

AtCapitolEngineering,Iplayedakeyroleinthesurveyandcreationof2Ddrawings forseveralnewstores.Iworkedcloselywithclientstoensurethatexistingdrawings wereaccuratelyamendedandredrawntomeetthespecificneedsofeachstore's designateduse. Thisrolewasparticularlyfulfillingforme,asitallowedmetotakechargeofthe surveyofmultiplebuildingsandoverseethecreationoftheirdrawingswith meticulousattentiontodetail.Itookgreatprideindeliveringhigh-qualityworkthat metandexceededtheexpectationsofmyclients.

Co-foundedbymybrotherandme,WaketheCitywasbornoutofourshared passionforcreatinguniqueCafeRacermotorcyclesthatwouldturnheadsandleave lastingimpressions.Wepouredourheartsandsoulsintotheproject,andtheend resultwasatrulyone-of-a-kindracingmachinethatwewereimmenselyproudof. Theprojectchallengedustocombineawiderangeofprocesses,including3D printing,scanning,metalworking,welding,painting,andmore,someofwhichwere newtomeatthetime.Butitwasanexperiencethattaughtmesomuch,andIcame awaywithanewfoundappreciationforthepowerofpassionandcreativitytodrive innovation.

Rightstolightanalysis,Daylight/sunlightanalysis,andgeneralDrawingscreation. AsatechnicalanalystatConsil,Iwasresponsibleforconductingrightstolight analysis,daylight/sunlightanalysis,andcreatingtechnicaldrawingstoshowcasethe resultstoclients.IusedAutocad3Dtomodelandanalyzepropertiesforpotential sunlightloss,whichallowedourclientstocalculatecompensationforeachproperty. MyroleatConsilhasgivenmeadeepunderstandingoftheregulationsinvolvedin thearchitecturesector.Throughthisexperience,Inotonlylearnedhowtouseanew modelingprogrambutalsogainedvaluableinsightsintothemanystepsrequiredto ensureasmoothprojectfromstarttofinish.
