My name is Vasilis Antoniou, i am 26 years old and i was born in Cyprus. The centre-piece of my work rotates around futuristic and contemporary design, aiming to create an environment maximizing creativity and comfort while positively impacting human psychology. In addition to the above my vision is to be able to design spaces that bringing strong emotions with aesthetics. My interests are focused on photography digital art and exercising.

IDEA DEVELOPMENT With parametric design as a tool for analyse and observe the possibilities of the spiral shape ,we created varieties of shapes that can be used for inspiration and by modifying those shapes with different combinations, we created a variety of shapes to be inspired from.
TOPOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS Due to the academic character of the building, we decided that the campus of university of Nicosia in Cyprus would be the ideal location . The University Campus is located in the eastern suburbs of Nicosia, within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality of Aglantzia, near the area of Athalassa and covers an area of about 1.2 square kilometers.

CLASSROOMS SEPARATED
A flexible classroom were a lot of changes can be made for students desks layout for teachers to keep children’s attention by applying different types of teaching methods every time.Small and lightweight desks where it can be transformed into different shapes easily and a carpet for sitting on the ground lesson.School also must be a place for children to learn cooperation. Having that in mind we designed a structure where it can store things and also allowing teachers by opening the window and doors to share a common lesson and activites for both classrooms.
CLASSROOMS UNITED
Computers class design inspired from the inside parts of computer, giving the feeling that you are inside technology and chemistry class design, inspired by hexagonal structures of chemistry. Also the two classrooms are having a common window where the techonology patterns and hexagonal shape meets.
DRAGON a place for refugees to feel like home

With the evolving globalization and increasing minority isolation, we set a project having an aspiration to by introducing a traditional Chinese dragon inside an empty space between block-of-flats occupied by Chinese residents in the centre of Athens. The choice of the Chinese dragon satisfied all of our needs, having a great positive impact on the Chinese residents of the area, while the chosen colours, shape and form did not intrude with the surrounding buildings and western civilisation.

Work on this academic project enabled me to study the style of their clothing, colour palette and clothing texture and get experience on blending the company’s products with the interior design, using elements that characterize the company, such as the glossy surfaces,tones between white and black, high contrast and the ’’x‘’ weaving texture of their clothes. The end product, included a well designed ground floor with a loft, reflecting the needs of the company in terms of sales.

A seat inspired by the hairy and spiky parts of a plant combining the intelligence of nature’s structure and modern 3D printing technology. The seat’s advantages are its easy creation, recyclability and innovative design, which is now possible with large-scale printers allowing for complex structures at low cost, in an environmentally safe manner.
