The Ghost Meter

Product: Ghost Meter Detect Ghost (Entities) and EMF Readiation Weight in gm: 150,Size in cm:13x6.5x2.5 Product ID NO: VS#021

Aside from a camera (digital or film), the most basic tool for a ghost hunter is the EMF meter. When ghostly activity takes place, electromagnetic anomalies often occur in the environment. This meter can allow you to detect these disturbances. Find hot spots in homes! In cemeteries! In buildings! We guarantee that an evening visit to a cemetery with the meter is an experience that will thrill you! Go in a small group and you will have a lot of fun! Conduct paranormal surveys (comes with instructions). You may charge for those pleasures or do them for pleasure! Though we use language that is fun and casual, the CellSensor is an accurate and fine instrument devoted to high quality Paranormal activity. Each one is individually calibrated in the EMF and cellular modes. Even though you may experience nothing via your physical senses, if you take a photo with flash when the EMF meter indicates a strange fluctuation, you can sometimes capture a picture of a ghost! In the pictures you will see globes of light that are not explained by conventional -----Vastu Time-----

Vastuworld Instruments photography! These light globes sometimes have facial expressions, and messages! The Ghost Meter measures paranormal cell activity. It is wonderful for several reasons: It's lightweight and compact, yet durable. It has a needle readout AND an adjustable audio tone, allowing you to use it in the dark or without looking at it. Also a light so you can monitor from far away! At a haunted location, strong, erratic, fluctuating EMFs are commonly found. It seems these energy fields have some definite connection to the presence of ghosts. Whenever you locate one, a ghost might be present, although the environmental conditions will not allow the specter to appear to the naked human senses. When you find a strange , inconsistent reading, that's a great time to make a photo fo the area. The developed print may show an apparition. This is the official meter of many Ghost Clubs! Have fun and don't be afraid ‌ most ghosts are friendly! A great gift! For further details & Operating Techniques Contact – info@vastuworld.com

Editors Note Dear Readers, We celebrate another year end and welcome the annual issue of Vastu Times yet again. The issue is all about Healthy Living and approaching life with a new zest of freshness. We give you interesting articles and write ups by experts in the field of Healthy living and their contribution towards it. Vastuworld discusses concepts and methods of keeping your homes healthy. Topics with an in depth insight into architecture of homes and also targeting the relation between health and your home makes this issue intriguing. Life as we know it is a journey and it's important that the body we're in survives the bumps on the roads. Our advice is simple, we want you to think positively, respect your body and your environment. Everything is a reflection of what you believe you deserve, similarly space and the environment we surround ourselves with affect our lives and eventually our health. Modernization, air-conditioning and technology lead to unhealthy architecture and this has created a huge gap between nature and us. This increasing gap has caused most of the modern age diseases as we know it. Increasing awareness and becoming conscious about this fact and consciously making an attempt to be surrounded by nature and living in spaces with architecture that supports healthy living is what is the need of the hour. Another exciting topic for this issue is our inhouse workshops that have become a great success and provide training and knowledge to all those interested in learning and updating their skills. Have A Great Day!

A healthy home nurtures those who dwell inside and also protects the world beyond its walls. Designed with sensitivity for the environment, it is energy-efficient, economical, sustainable, and non-polluting, so we suggest you lay the foundation for a home that nourishes both your body and soul.

Jain cosmology

Jain cosmology According to Jainism, this loka or universe is an uncreated entity, existing since infinity having no beginning or an end. 1) Jain texts describe the shape of the universe as similar to a man standing with legs apart and arm resting on his waist. Thus Universe according to Jainism is narrow at top and broad at middle and once again becomes broad at the bottom. Some foolish men declare that the creator made the world. The doctrine that the world was created is ill advised and should be rejected. If God created the world, where was he before the creation? If you say he was transcendent then and needed no support, where is he now? How could God have made this world without any raw material? If you say that he made this first, and then the world, you are faced with an endless regression.

The Concept of reality – the constituents of the Universe

Jîva i.e. Living Substances Jîva i.e. Souls - Soul (Jîva) exists as a reality, having a separate existence from the body that houses it. It is characterised by chetana i.e. consciousness and upayoga i.e. knowledge and perception. [3]Though the soul experiences both birth and death, it is neither really destroyed nor created. Decay and origin refer respectively to the disappearing of one state of soul and appearing of another state, these being merely the modes of the soul.

Dharma-tattva i.e Principle of Motion and Adharma-tattva i.e. Principle of Rest Dharmastikâya and Adharmastikâya are distinctly peculiar to Jaina system of thought depicting the principle of Motion and Rest. They are said to pervade the entire universe. Dharma and Adharma are by itself not motion or rest but mediate motion and rest in other bodies. Without Dharmastikâya motion is not possible and without Adharmastikâya rest is not possible in universe.

Ajîva i.e. or Non-Living Substances Pudgala i.e. Matter - Matter is classified as solid, liquid, gaseous, energy, fine Karmic materials and extra-fine matter i.e. ultimate particles. Paramâ?u or ultimate particle (atoms) is the basic building block of all matter. One of the qualities of the Paramâ?u and Pudgala is that of permanence and indestructibility. It combines and changes its modes but its basic qualities remain the same. According to Jainism, it cannot be created nor destroyed.

Âkâúa i.e Space Space is a substance that accommodates the living souls, the matter, the principle of motion, the principle of rest and time. It is all-pervading, infinite and made of infinite space-points. Kâla i.e. Time - Kâla is a real entity according to Jainism and all activities, changes or modifications can be achieved only through the progress of time. Wikipedia -

Your Home Is Your Sanctuary

Your Home Is Your Sanctuary Everything is a reflection of what you believe you deserve. Look at your home. Is it a place that you really love to live in? Is it comfortable and joyous, or cramped, dirty, and always messy? The same with your car – do you like it? Does it reflect the love you have for yourself? Are your clothes a bother and a nuisance and something you have to deal with? Your clothes are a reflection of how you feel about yourself. Again, the thoughts we have about ourselves can be changed If you want to find a new home, begin by opening yourself up to finding the right place, and affirm that it is waiting for you. When I was looking for a new home in Los Angeles, I couldn't believe that I would only find appalling places. I kept thinking that this is Los Angeles, and it's filled with wonderful apartments, so where are they? It took me six months to find the one I wanted, and it was magnificent. During the time I was looking, the building was being constructed, and when it was finished, I found it waiting for me. If you look for something, but you are not finding it, there is probably a reason. If you want to move from where you are because you don't like it, thank your present home for being there. Appreciate it for sheltering you from the weather. If it's difficult to like it, start with one part of the house that you like – it may be a corner of your bedroom. Don't say, “I hate this old place,” because you are not going to find something that you love. Love where you are, so you can be open to receiving a wonderful new home. If your home is messy and cluttered, then start cleaning it up. Your home is a reflection of who you are!

Is Your House Making You Sick?

Is Your House Making You Sick? Got a Headache? Got the sniffles? Is life getting you down?

The solution?

You might have the flu, or... you could be suffering from the effects of air pollution inside your home or office. Protect yourself from pollution and chemicals inside your house !

Whether you are building a new home or remodeling an old one, follow three key principles: Elimination

Our buildings are filled with synthetic materials, and some of them can literally make you sick. Plywood, particleboards, and other manufactured woods emit formaldehyde. The stone used in concrete can release radon. Fiberglass insulation may be capable of causing lung cancer in the same way that asbestos does. Even your carpeting can make you feel lousy.

Remove the materials that emit toxic fumes. This is no easy matter, because everything from the floor to the roofing may contain harmful chemicals. Separation Some things just can't be eliminated, but you can still protect yourself. Use sealants or foilbacked drywall to separate living quarters from materials that contain harmful substances.

"Walking into a modern building can sometimes be compared to placing your head inside a plastic bag that is filled with toxic fumes," says John Bower, author of several books on healthy home construction. Just the sound of this chemical cocktail is enough to make your head spin: Acetonitrile, methyl methacrylate, styrene, aliphatic hydrocarbons, ketones, alkenes, esters...

Design a Healthy Home

Lay the foundation for a healthy home that nourishes your body and soul

with promises of temperature-perfect rooms, yet colds and allergies plague us

You know when you have entered a healthy home. Regardless of the period and style, there is a sense of harmony and purity that nourishes both body and soul. Over time, you may also notice that you breathe more easily, feel more content, and begin each day with heightened energy and enthusiasm.

? Chemical additives permit more durable paints, fabrics, wood, and construction materials, yet they fill the air with toxic fumes ? Mass-produced synthetics and composite construction materials appear to save money, yet their ingredients trouble us with ailments ranging from mild headaches to severe depression. Ultimately, there's something unsatisfying about wrinkle- proof fabrics and laboratory-created walls and floors. Lacking the warmth and patina of materials drawn from nature, they sap our spirits in ways that are subtle yet profound.

One of the great ironies of the twentieth century is that the very technologies intended to enhance our well-being have often undermined our health: ? Modern heating and cooling systems entice us -----Vastu Time-----

What Is A Healthy Home?

What Is A Healthy Home? The healthy home nurtures those who dwell inside and also protects the world beyond its walls. Designed with sensitivity for the environment, it is energyefficient, economical, sustainable, and non-polluting. A healthy home may resemble the eco-friendly houses that evolved as part of the popular green architecture movement of the 1980s and 1990s. Drawing from ancient building techniques, these homes are constructed of earth, clay, straw, or steel-reinforced concrete forms. Solar-powered and naturally cooled, they provide modern comforts without draining resources. However, you don't need to set up housekeeping in a monolithic dome or an earth-sheltered dwelling to live in harmony with nature. Even the most traditional home, which may have been built long before the rise in environmental consciousness, can be adapted to incorporate the key principles of healthy design

Healthy For the Body Healthy For the Soul Free your home from toxins Provide quiet places for reflection Arrange furnishings and storage for comfort and ease

Replace throwaways with keepsakes

Get rid of bulky, dust-collecting cushions

Strive for simplicity and moderation

Vent moisture from damp rooms

Bring nature indoors

Create special places for exercise and relaxation

Honor the environment

Healthy For the Psyche Clear away clutter Let in the sun Choose mood-enhancing colors Grow fragrant herbs Fill rooms with soothing sounds By Jackie Craven

Why Nature's Architecture Is Best for Our Health

Why Nature's Architecture Is Best for Our Health

An overgrown city is a healthy city. Plants regulate temperatures, scrub the air, provide a haven for urban wildlife and lift our mood sky-high. But all too often, parks and tree-lined boulevards have been regarded as cosmetic frills worked around the basic necessities of concrete, glass and metal – something to add if there's any money left in your budget. It's shutters in the front and bare metal in the back. Back to the drawing board. A study of urban mortality undertaken by two Scottish universities has discovered a link between good health and green spaces – more specifically, reduced health inequalities. All city populations experience different levels of wellness according to social factors such as income, lifestyle, diet and access to medical facilities. The researchers found that in the 366,000 cases studied, close proximity to green spaces reduced this inequality and reduced the likelihood of people suffered from a number of medical disorders, particularly heart disease and strokes. Why is this the case? Firstly, greenery cleans the air for us and evens out the temperature, making cities not only more pleasant but more healthful. But this may be the lesser part of the answer. Since mind and body are intertwined, it's clear that a reduction in stress levels can have a profound physiological effect. Recent studies suggest that if your stress levels are high, your body is more likely to age quicker and heal slower. As well as encouraging people to go for a walk in them, green spaces may significantly improve health simply by allowing people to breathe out. In the literal sense, our cities need to be greened up. Our health depends upon it. In an increasingly urban world, this has become a critical issue – and if city planners and municipalities don't rise to the challenge, they may have a rebellion on their hands

The Body Mind & Soul

The Body, Mind & Soul

We live in a paradox! The age of information and yet the age of neglect. The smallest of health issues can be 'googled' and armed with that knowledge we can sit in any 'health' discussion and dispense the advice, but yet we choose not to follow it!

The Body- this is a very efficient machine that can do a variety of tasks. It's most important part that does the task are the muscles. M=must be U=used S=strengthened C=conditioned L=lubricated (flexible) E=exercised

Today the mantra should be that of Holistic Health, the trilogy of the body, the mind, and the soul. As a physiotherapist, I have encountered numerous patients with a range of physical problems ranging from headaches, injuries, paralysis, pregnancy issues, birth defects and more. Physiotherapy always tackled/dealt with the physical issue of the condition, but on a oneon-one basis each person required a future program that also dealt with the mental issues. The question like how do I cope with it, will I injure myself again/will my backache restart, how will it affect my life? So, let's consider ourselves in parts of trilogy to encompass healthy living.

-----Vastu Time-----

Any fitness program must therefore include exercises for toning all the muscles. This must be supplemented with good nutrition and lots of rest. Any treatment program, for various ailments of the body must include enhancing the efficiency of the muscles around the body part in question. These exercises should be tailored by your physiotherapist for you.

August 2009-----

The Body Mind & Soul

The Mind – A very complex component that also does a variety of task, but its efficiency depends upon a equal variety of condition! Life is demanding and stress is the outcome of most of its demands. Many physical manifestations of diseases and pain have stress as the underlying cause. Hence, heal the mind in simple relaxation that you can incorporate in your life-music, meditation, dance, tai-chi, yoga, pilates, massage. A calm and relaxed mind will definitely increase its own efficiency and that of the body.

Let's take the example of a backache- A simple problem that most of us experience at some point in our life. Let's see how the trilogy is applicable to it. You want to start a new project and you put your heart and soul to it! It involves long hours of sitting at your computer to get the presentation ready. Your body was not made to sit those many hours! The back muscles being the posture muscles allow you to do it but over a span of time start getting fatigued. At some other point, the smallest incorrect movement may lead to these musclesgoing into a 'catch' and start your backache. To add to that the project involves the stress of getting it done as you envisioned it. This stress also adds to the fatigue of the muscles. A simple inclusion of some back exercises, relaxation of the mind with say yoga may avert the backache to start with and thus achieve the goal your soul set out for!

The Soul- A sublime component of us that we tend to lose in trying to achieve the tasks that our mind has set out to do and our body may/may not be able to cope with! Very often in trying to multitask we miss out on the essence of life. Thus in order to be healthy, we need to think'heal+thy' (ourselves). Heal any physical and for mental illness and think about yourself.

ANTIQUE FURNITURE Homes and home décor are a reflection of women. In India, from time immemorial, women have been homemakers. The changing trend in their lifestyle…from the housewife to the empowered working mom…have also reflected in the way homes look these days. Be it a vast space or a cozy apartment, of a modern woman or that of one still retaining the culture and heritage of our country, wood never goes out of style!

who enjoyed quality and beauty. That is why each piece is distinct, designed to suit the needs of the user, yet is embellished, painstakingly by skilled artisans. The quality of wood and artistry of each piece makes for gorgeous heirlooms. Young people today are very aware of the value and uniqueness of their grandparent's furniture. They enjoy shopping for these exquisite works of art, to adorn their homes.

Antique furniture, ornate in its looks and solid in its structure, is finding its way back into all these homes. However, contemporary the look, there will always be a niche, a wall or centre that once decorated with these pieces, adds to the final look.

The quality of wood is excellent as it has seasoned over decades. It has been through different climatic conditions and seasons, which make it termite proof…a definite advantage over new wood and ply.

Antique furniture, as seen at furniture boutique, displays the uniqueness of each piece, from the wood used, like teak, rosewood, mahogany, or camphor, each defines the time and space from where it comes.

The reasons and many more make antique furniture the choice of environmentally sensitive people. It gives us the chance to be surrounded by beauty in our own homes while staying in harmony with nature!

Receiving Prosperity

Receiving Prosperity

If you are always feeling rushed because there isn't enough time to do everything you want, then you have lack of time. If you feel that success is beyond your reach, then you are not going to get it. If you feel life is burden some and strenuous, then you will always feel uncomfortable. If you think you don't know very much, and you're too dumb to figure things out, you will never feel connected to the wisdom of the Universe. If you feel a lack of love and have poor relationships, then it will be difficult for you to attract love into your life.

When we get frightened, we want to control everything, and then we shut off the flow of our good. Trust life. Everything we need is here for us. The power within us is willing to give us our fondest dreams and enormous plenty instantaneously. The problem is that we are not open to receiving it. If we want something, our Higher Power doesn't say, “I'll think about it.” It readily responds, and sends it through, but we have to ready for it. If not, it goes back into the storehouse of unfulfilled desires.

What about beauty? There is beauty all around us. Do you experience the beauty that is abundant on the planet, or do you see everything as ugly and wasteful and dirty? How is your health? Are you sick all the time? Do you catch cold easily? Do you get many aches and pains? Finally, there is money. Many of you tell me that there is never enough money in your lives. What do you let yourself have? Or perhaps you feel you are on a fixed income. Who fixed it?

Many people come to my lectures and sit with their arms folded across their bodies. I think, “How are they going to let anything in?” It's a wonderful symbolic gesture to open our arms wide so the Universe notices and responds. For many it's very scary, because if they open themselves up, they think they may get terrible things; and they probably will, until they change whatever it is inside them that believes they will attract doom and gloom.

None of the above has anything to do with receiving. People always think, “Oh I want to get this and that and whatever.” However, abundance and prosperity is about allowing yourself to accept. When you're not getting what you want, on some level you are not allowing yourself to accept.

When we use the term prosperity, a lot of people immediately think of money. However, there are many other concepts that some under the auspices of prosperity, such as: time, love, success, comfort, beauty, knowledge, relationship, health and of course money.

If we are stingy with life, then life will be stingy with us. If we steal from life, life will steal from us.

Can architecture make you fat?

C a n a r c h i t e c t u r e m a k e y o u f a t ? Experts are starting to think so - and they're urging architects and town planners to tackle the obesity epidemic by making new buildings more fitness-friendly. Paul Arendt reports

direction; in too many modern office blocks, the stairwells are hidden away like dirty secrets. Tim Townshend, a Newcastle academic and former town planner, is one of those suggesting that our public spaces - our cities, suburbs, shopping centres - are enforcing a culture that consumes energy without expending it, encouraging inactivity and poor eating habits. One of Townshend's more frivolous suggestions is that we make stairwells a more attractive option by fitting them with piped music

Going down... Experts say our addiction to elevators is not helping our fitness. We all know that a diet of Krispy Kremes and chicken nuggets is a sure path to elastic trousers but did you know that architecture can be bad for your health, too? So what, exactly, can architects do?

"Using the stairs is not seen as normal," says Amelia Lake, a research fellow who works with Townshend. "In most [new] buildings it's very difficult to find a staircase. The focal point when you enter tends to be the lift. In certain buildings, you'll even find that using the stairs will set off the fire alarm.

For most of us, exercise is something that happens during the course of the day - while we are shopping, commuting, walking the dog. Planners need to maximise the potential for casual exercise by incorporating cycle paths and pedestrian areas into their designs. Parks and other green spaces encourage people to exercise, and if a shop is within walking distance, people are more likely to leave the car behind. Offices can be made more fitness-friendly with the addition of a bike park and a few showers. Even a signpost to the stairs is a step in the right

The architect Will Alsop takes a stronger line: "If you really wanted to do something about it," he says, "you could take all the elevators out of all the buildings in London. Then people would be fit.

Can architecture make you fat?

Existing offices, estates and shopping centres can, in some cases, be retrofitted to make them more exercise-friendly. Elsewhere, the problem of the "obesogenic" or fat-making environment is more deeply rooted. For instance, there is the question of housing density. To the layman, high density sounds like a bad thing - crowded high-rises and overpopulated slums. But in health terms, high density can be an invitation to get off the sofa.

correlation between driving and weight gain. According to his findings, each additional hour spent in a car per day is associated with a 6% increase in the likelihood of obesity. So could architects and planners halt the nation's obesity crisis? They can certainly help, but all the intelligent architecture in the world won't stop people from popping to the corner shop in their SUV to pick up a multipack of Hula Hoops.

To date there has been little research into the links between architecture and obesity: in 2003, Dr Reid Ewing of the University of Maryland published a paper on the relationship between suburban sprawl and health. His nationwide study offered the first direct evidence that adults in lowdensity, car-dependent housing weighed more, walked less and were more likely to be obese.

Which means we're back to the idea of the ecoslob: the healthy option has to be made the easiest option. "We want to change people's behavior," says Amelia Lake. "It's very difficult if our environment doesn't encourage that". - Paul Arendt
