So Far, So Good - Vaughn Fender

Page 1

INTRO Vaughn Fender is always hustling. He often calls me at random times to discuss his in-depth plans— sometimes they involve elaborate gallery shows, books, zines or T-shirt graphics. I often give him a hard time about always planning and not enough doing. When Vaughn told me he was going to start doing daily drawings I was excited to see some fresh new work— yet I couldn’t help but be a bit skeptical. As an up and coming daily-drawing-veteran I know how hard it is to keep up with the routine. I have had quite a few people tell me they were going to undertake the daily drawing challenge and most don’t last a week. At this point, Vaughn has passed the 100 drawing benchmark and I couldn’t be happier for him. His wacky characters always make me laugh. He has even branched out into the hand-drawn-type realm that I so often frequent. To be honest, I’m jealous of Vaughn’s drawings and I KNOW I’ll be even more jealous of the zine I am writing this for! I hate you Vaughn.
