Hospice Care

Cataracts are the leading cause of vision impairment in people age 40 and older. By the age of 75, approximately half of all Americans have cataracts. Most cataracts develop slowly. But with time, they will eventually interfere with your vision. and will require surgery.

Early cataract detections signs include…

• Cloudy or fuzzy vision • Appearance of halos & glare • Difficulty seeing at night • Increased light sensitivity • Fading or yellowing of colors • Double vision in a single eye

At first, stronger eyeglasses can help, but since cataracts don’t go away, they will usually require surgery at some point in time. Fortunately, cataract surgery is generally safe and effective.

If you notice any changes in your vision, see your eye doctor right away.
