BUNCOMBE COUNTY COVID-19 TESTING Buncombe County and Western North Carolina Community Health Services (WNCCHS) will offer community-based COVID-19 testing in the coming weeks for people experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. Buncombe County residents are encouraged to use the county’s COVID-19 Self-Checker to assess whether they should be tested. Testing is available to people both with and without insurance, with no out-of-pocket cost. The next scheduled testing will be held outdoors on Thursday, May 14, 2020, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Buncombe County Schools Central Office, 175 Bingham Road, Asheville, NC 28806. COVID-19 SCALABLE SOLUTIONS LEARNING COLLABORATIVE The National Council for Behavioral Health, through the National Center of Excellence for Integrated Health Solutions grant award from SAMHSA, is accepting applications for participation in an ECHO collaborative to develop scalable solutions for providing care to people living with mental illness and addiction during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participating organizations will receive $25,000 of unrestricted funding to create and test scalable solutions to address COVID-19. Due to the pandemic, organizations will be asked to attend only two virtual meetings, one the week of May 25, 2020, to launch the collaborative, and one the week of July 27 to share solutions. Work must be completed by July 30, 2020. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on Friday, May 15, 2020. For more information, contact Integration@TheNationalCouncil.org.
