FUNDING RESOURCES FOR SMALL BUSINESSES The NC Rapid Recovery lending program, a partnership among public, private and nonprofit organizations, is designed to support entrepreneurs and stabilize North Carolina’s small business sector. Several counties in Vaya’s catchment area have also announced loan programs for local small businesses impacted by COVID-19: Haywood County: Haywood Recovery Fund Small Business Loans Jackson County: All in Jackson Fund Macon County: Reopening Macon Fund The Southwestern Commission Council of Governments operates a Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) for businesses in the seven westernmost counties of the state. ACMT/ASAM ADDICTION TOXICOLOGY CASE CONFERENCE Friday, June 19, 2020, 1 p.m. The American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT) and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) are hosting a COVID-19-related Addiction Toxicology Case Conference. The event is part of an in-depth series that discusses addiction/toxicology cases in an interactive fashion, featuring experts from addiction medicine, the Addiction Medicine Fellowship Training Program, palliative care and addiction psychiatry.
