Black History Lunch and Learn Series – Warning: Demographic Headwinds Ahead Tomorrow, Feb. 10, 2021 The N.C. DMHDDSAS Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council is sponsoring a Lunch and Learn series from 12 to 1 p.m. every Wednesday in February. In tomorrow’s session, “Warning: Demographic Headwinds Ahead,” participants will learn from one of the county’s leading demographers about major state and national demographic shifts and their impact on public service systems. Interim Essential Industry Employer Guidance for Vaccinating North Carolinians N.C. DHHS has released guidance to help employers, including providers, encourage their frontline employees to get vaccinated for COVID-19 when the vaccine is available to them. Vaccinations are currently available for individuals who fall into Groups 1 and 2 of the state’s priority categories. TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES New Dates: QPR Suicide Prevention Web-Based Training Multiple dates through July 2021 Two hours of your time could help save a life. Vaya's Provider and Community Education Team will offer free, web-based “Question, Persuade, Refer” (QPR) suicide prevention trainings through July 2021. Trainings will be offered on the second Tuesday (2:30 – 4:30 p.m.) and fourth Tuesday (9 – 11 a.m.) of each month. Each training is limited to 30 participants.
