Upcoming Changes to 837 Claims File Submission Beginning April 1, 2023, Vaya will require providers utilizing 837 file submission to submit EDI files via CrushFTP. Before that date, all impacted providers will receive CrushFTP login information, job aids, and additional educational resources. Vaya Tailored Plan Third-Party Vendors Beginning April 1, 2023, Vaya will manage physical health and pharmacy services — in addition to behavioral health, I/DD, and traumatic brain injury (TBI) services — for Tailored Plan Medicaid members.(Please note that Vaya will not manage physical health or pharmacy services for Vaya NC Medicaid Direct PIHP members or Tailored Plan recipients of State-funded services.)
Vaya has contracted with vendors in specific service areas to help provide care for the Tailored Plan Medicaid population. In the next several Provider Communication Bulletins, we will offer information about and educational resources from these vendors. Modivcare will manage all non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services for Vaya Tailored Plan Medicaid members, who must schedule trips ahead of time and have them confirmed by Modivcare. NEMT transportation services will include: · Private provider · Non-emergency ambulance · Mileage reimbursement Vaya will announce dates in an upcoming Provider Communication Bulletin and during our Provider Touchpoint webinars for virtual demonstrations of Modivcare’s TripCare scheduling platform, which the LME/MCO is hosting. BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, I/DD, AND TBI PROVIDERS Survey Request: Waitlist for Youth Outpatient Services In conjunction with our community partners, Vaya is engaging in the Pathways to Permanency project. The project’s Accessible, Quality Continuum of Behavioral Health Services workgroup is requesting feedback from child services providers about the use of waitlists for youth outpatient services. The project team will review provider feedback in aggregate form for insight into how youth across the Vaya region access services and whether there are significant delays in treatment initiation. Please note: Information collected through the survey is for informational purposes only and will support solutions for both providers and youth in foster care. Please complete the survey online. It will close at 5 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2023.

Treat Them Like Gold Learning Collaborative Vaya will host a virtual Treat Them Like Gold learning collaborative that was developed by Pathways to Permanency project stakeholders. The learning collaborative is open to public and private stakeholders offering family foster care and therapeutic foster care in Vaya’s region. Permanent Supportive Housing Webinars March 9, 2023, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. March 10, 2023, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. March 16, 2023, 9 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. March 17, 2023, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. This training supports CST and ACT providers by improving their understanding and practice of the permanent supportive housing model. To receive credit for the training, you must attend all four days. Participants are required to have their camera on and audio capability for this training. Please register only three staff members from your agency. This training is only available to CST and ACT providers within the Vaya, Alliance, and Partners LME/MCO regions.
